If it isn't one thing, it's another!
Well, got the old cat back to health, the best I could considering the sweet thing is 18 years old...and now the old dog had a mild stroke yesterday...he's nearly 15 years old. He's partially blind in one eye, deaf, and he's a big one...about 50 pounds.
So...allot of my time for awhile will be offline, giving him all the love, care, and medication and hoping we can get the same recovery for him as we did the old cat.
Poor thing, his left side is affected, and with four legs, he keeps going in circles when he tries to walk!

I'm so sorry to hear that Chazzy....However knowing the person you are, they couldn't receive anymore love and care then you will give them!......

When it rains, it pours huh Chazzy. But knowing how you are, the dog couldn't be anywhere else & get better care. Do what you need to.

The hardest thing when something like this happens to a pet, is that look in thier eyes, they just look at you like they are saying "What happened to me?"
I can't explain to them what's happened of course...all I can do is give back the unconditional love that they have given me.

I've been there with pets of mine in the past Chazzy. so i have seen "that look" they give you..they don't understand nor can they comprehend what is happening to the...but Chazzy..your pets are and have been in good hands!!
what they do understand is that unconditional love that you can provide right back to them for that same love they give you day in and day out...
regardless of the outcome with your pets health...be strong in knowing that "you are there" for your pet..and that your pets comfort is in the love you return..

Well, it's been days and days of caring for the old dog, lots of pills and an expensive vet bill, but he's coming along really well.
He still tilts his head to one side from the stroke, but after about 3 days, he can walk pretty well without falling down, he's in high spirits too...and he's being spoiled rotton,,,,I have to make sure he takes eight pills a day, and to do that, I put the pills in "special" food for him, like chicken livers I cooked for him....he's gonna recover quite well, but he'll never eat dry or canned food again by the time I get the entire run of pills down him!
