Color change
Okay here's an interesting one - see if I can get a good answer from someone.
I keep my vibrator in a nice black bag in a drawer when not in use. I clean it with a bleach and water solution every time after use to make sure it's sterile for the next romp. However, last time I took it out to play, I notice that it has discoloration from the bag, in fact, you can see where the color came off the bag.
Any suggestions to get it back to the original color it once was? Doesn't affect the workings of the toy, it just aggravates me that I can't seem to get the discoloration off and I don't really want to plunk down cash for a new one - I am quite fond of this particular toy.

Re: Color change
all i can think is, when u clean it you are taking the coating off it so when you put it in the bag it is staining the part that has the coating worn off, that is just a thought, as for getting the staining off not sure if you can, that is just my opinion

Re: Color change
The bleach and water has not taken the discoloration off? That is interesting. Make sure you rinse it well and dry it well before putting it back in the bag.

Re: Color change
Is it a hard plastic, or one of those "jelly" types?

Re: Color change
Do ya think it maybe the bleach.......? Dont use it!! Being a couple with 150 toys, a soft soap or toy cleaner works best. It is inexpensive and is made for toys! After you do clean it, let it sit out to dry before putting the toy away. This will save you alot of money! They are expensive to replace a good top of the line toy will not stain!

That's a good point about the bleach - I don't ever remember anything like this happening with my other toys, but to tell you the truth I can't remember when I bought this one if it was at one of those toy parties or a Lover's Lane type of place - Do you think the toy is permanently ruined now though? I'd hate to throw it out and buy another.

Thanks CK - I'll make a note of that - it may be that I have been too hasty to put it away from "prying eyes" lol and have rushed the process before its time.

You may have something there as well SP - that was initially my first thought since like I said in another reply that I can't remember when or where I bought this particular toy. As far as removing the staining - it's not a big deal I guess but somehow it is to me. Not sure why.

Re: Color change
Researching this one, I found out that the jelly material has as many, if not more, pores in it as your skin. When you wash it in bleach, the bleach is soaking into the pores of the material. Later when you put it in the bag, the bleach molecules, draw out the color of the bag into the pores, of the material. Try putting it in a plastic sndwich baggie, before you put it in the original bag. With nothing to draw on, the bleach molecules will eventually be left to attack the pigment, occupying the space with it. It's like getting ink on your hands. No matter how much you scrub, the stain stays with you, but gets lighter as the days pass...

Re: Color change
Just dont use bleach....you dont have to disinfect with such a harsh cemical, theres no need if you continue to use it you will be throwing out more then just one dildo. What do you think it will do to YOU!, if you dont use a comdom on it from now on.......Please use a condom on it if its not too late. Bleach on the soft tissue like the inside of you pussy can cause serious problems disguared it soon and dont use!!!!

Re: Color change
Just about any place, online or otherwise that sell adult novelties and sex toys , also sells cleaners for them specifically.
These cleaners sanitize and help protect and prolong the life of the toy, and are formulated to be safely used by consumers.

GG - thank you for posting this research. I was totally unaware about how many pores are in a jelly toy. I have discarded the toy as since I was using the bleach/water mixture, I don't want to possibly have other problems due to the bleach even though I use far more water than bleach. Your post of how things soak into the pores concerned me though.
Thank you again.
