Kick and cuss
Got any temperamental machinery or appliances? Things that still work well....if you give a good kick, or thump in the right place or at the right time?
I got a clothes washer that I have to make an extra trip down to the basement so I can slam the lid and make it kick into the next cycle of the rinse phase...

Re: Kick and cuss
My last computer was pissin me off so bad I hauled it outside, shoved a full clip into my mauser, & put 4 .308 cal. holes into it. That pretty much took care of it. Course it did mean a new PC, but this one works gooder.

Re: Kick and cuss
Nothing at home, but the other day, I was in one of the break rooms at school. This girl was teary-eyed and when I asked if she was alright, she proceeded to tell me about all the things that had gone wrong with her day so far. I could only imagine that she was in that time of the month. Without batting an eyelash, I gave the vending machine, a good swift kick at the base. I've done it a couple of times before, since it's a money claimer, and I know how just to coax it. Not only did I free up her bag of pretzels, but two candy bars and a roll of spearmint lifesavers. She was overjoyed, and I got a free roll of lifesavers out of it...

not at this time, no. But my old computer did have to be "coaxed" sometimes to do what I wanted it to do. Many times the Levs' heard about me wanting to borrow a rifle to shoot the thing with!

Pepper, thats how I fixed mine, & look, I got a new computer, and it's all good now. Besides, I can't tell you how theraputic it was to shoot the thing that was really irritating me. So go ahead honey, it does wonders for the soul.

Re: Kick and cuss
I have never had that problem, I guess in some ways I have been blessed, being able to recycle at Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Lowes, etc. But I remember my parents struggling their whole lives with 9 children, being the second eldist, with babysiting all the time, washing cloths, helping with the meals and seeing all the cloths handed down, it gave me incentive that I was not going to live in poverty. But as I got older, I have found that there are worse things than poverty, some things in life are almost impossible to change.

Re: Kick and cuss
Awwww...true it does annoy me to no end(and the neighbor a little further downwind too) that hanging our laundry out on a breezy sunny day usually means bringing it back in smelling like burnt rubbish and yard debris...but the pyro neighbor, I suspect, is doing all this "work" and burning in her yard as a reason to be outside and away from her idiotic mean, yelling husband who screams at her and berates when he's pissed about God knows what...I guess I can sacrifice my sweet smelling laundry for her mental health! She may be a little thoughtless when it comes to the constant burning brush pile in her backyard, but in general, she's a pretty good person.
