On-line friends
I was just reading the flowers thread and a thought came to me that I would like to share.
I live a long way from family and friends. Over the past few years I have made a couple of friends that I consider close in my new state. However, when joining this website I never had any intention of making close friends. I was here out of curiosity and some spice for Hubby and I. Now I find that I actually have more interaction with all my nutty friends on here than I do with my other friends. They, and I, are all wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of life and do not take the time to send a letter, make a phone call, send an e-mail weekly let alone daily. You all have become a meaningful part of my life - another support system. Thank You!!

Re: On-line friends
I can't even begin to tell you all how I appreciate the support you have given me through this hellish year. I have very close friends that I talk with every day...some every month...some not as often as we would like but through this site I can share feelings daily about what is going on in my life without embarrassment or shame, I say things to you all that I wouldn't to my "up close and personal friends" and everyone is accepting, understanding and kind. There is no fear of rejection when it comes to the friendships...amazing...we all joined for the sex and have come away with something better (and maybe a little somethin' somethin' on the side). Through this year and this site I've become more of myself...who I am...I've found a voice that was buried for a very long time...and I've also learned alot of things I didn't know..LOL...

Re: On-line friends
Not be repetitive, but ditto for us also. I tend to be closer to all you than my own family, MA excluded. I do not express my concerns over work and the like, but even though I feel that the support from all of you, if things would south at work would be a real blessing for MA. There only a very select few that know what my potential problems are at work. But I still cherish each and everyone of you, and you know that my shoulder/ear are always available to cry on or yell in.
Thank you all........

Re: On-line friends
I have to agree with all of ya. Because of my location, I knew when I joined this site that chances of hooking up with someone for real was almost nill. Mostly joined as a way to waste some spare time. What I found here though, was some very good friends, & some very supportive people, along with some very helpful mods. the friends I've made here are as close & dear to me as the ones I've known since childhood. I haven't hooked up with anyone, & would be suprised if I did, since I live where I do, even though I can always hop in the plane, & be most anywhere in short order. But my friends that I have here, will always be special.

you've not had mine, Moon!
And yes, I have made great friends at WN, some are very near and dear to my heart, it is my second (or maybe third) family and a wonderful support system.

Re: On-line friends
I went from a very active social life with tons of friends and always having places and parties to go to, and often threw parties of my own....then I married and ended up rather isolated in a very tiny little town and it all changed.
This site got me throught that major life change painlessly!

Re: On-line friends
Chazzy, I think most of us went through some major changes in life once we married. In your case though, I can't help but think that the small, little, town you live in, was blessed by a very amazing kind & beautiful lady.
