Good mornin', everyone
Well, still didn't get any shopping done over the weekend. Went all the way to Cedar *@&  %#& Hill for dog food, crickets, and party invitations for my daughter's birthday party. I need to stay out of that city. I'm gonna end up in prison for killin' someone there  I reckon that's why I dread Christmas shopping every year... the traffic!  Time to attach the railroad tie to the GMC... bring it on!!

I'm not even sure if I'll be able to do any Christmas present shopping this year...times are bad...but if I do, I'll walk up to the local antique shops and find a few things there...then I know what little money I'm able to spend goes to local merchants, and anything I buy will appreciate in value, and will carry allot of sentiment and nostalgia

Good morning everyone!! The storm isn't here yet, but they said on the weather it's coming. So I've stacked up wood by the stove. If it gets cold, I'll just sit by the fire with some hot tea, read a book, or just let my WN friends keep me entertained.

I have a small generator, not enough to run my house, but I have a mountain of wood if required, lots of kerosene lamps, thats always gotten me by before when we lost power. Might just get the snow we needed for that sleigh ride pepper.

Mornin', everyone Well, the kiddos get out early today and are out for 2 weeks. I'm gonna pull all my hair out, I just know it It's raining like crazy here today! The streets are starting to flood already. Doesn't help that they're one huge pot hole!

Afternoon all, still waiting for the weather to turn in winter, and not spring/fall. Maybe this storm that is hitting Texas to Colorado to Kansas, will be moving in our direction and we'll actually get more snow that Dallas or even parts of San Diego. Keeping fingers crossed. Its been very very dry here and we are still not out of the wood for the drought that has been hitting us. Those poor farmers. They are saying that the ice, which we don't have much of, is getting pretty ify, only because water under it is starting to sag as the water levels are dropping. If we don't get some cold weather and snow soon, there will be a lot of business's that depend on it, no longer open.

We've had the same thing here. Those pivot wells that are pumping 800 gallons per minute, are sucking the ground water dry, a ag expert said it would take a 1'000 years to replace what they have used now

Hey. come here. I've got dump truck loads of snow fer ya.
No kidding. All the highways were shutting down by 3pm MST. All roads led to cars in da ditches. I'm here just surfing the web and reading how bad it is out there. Lucky for me I had taken the day off. A friend called and told me it took him almost 2hrs to go 25 miles.

so calif is experiencing cold weather. wind chill is about 45 degrees. at night it drops to 29 degrees. brrrrrrrr!
well tomorrow is my next chemo treatment. after that i will be scanned to see if more treatments are necessary. so far my markers have been dropping so i am hopeful.

I just got back from doing the only Christmas shopping I could do this year....for my parents, and as long as I can get them something, I'm very happy....I bought them an antique butter crock, they both grew up very rural and I know it'll remind them of some very sweet childhood memories...gonna fill the thing with nuts and candy, and pretty it all up with ribbons of course.
Nuttin' like browsing a big antique shop to sooth my stress, I'm feelin' much better for it!

Just got back from the dentist....ugh....and they never ever gimme any good drugs when I go to the dentist!!!
My husband always comes home with a percacet prescription...all I ever get is "just take some advil"....
The dog is doing better today, I gotta manage to get 8 pills a day down him, which really wears us both out!
