Good Morning Everyone, it sure is quiet in here on the weekends...I'm thinking I should have my second cup of coffee, I was up until after two this morning wrapping gifts...my house officially looks like Christmas with some presents under the tree...
Liberalwife...I'm almost finished shopping...just a few touches for my kiddos...then you can put a fork in me...and I'm DONE!!!

Good morning! The winter storm hit us, and there are like a half a million people that are without electric, and will be for several more days...fortunatly, we didn't lose any power in my imediate area.

was about 80 degrees here today, nice and HOT! Had to buy a new, smaller shirt while we were out, the other one had sleeves!

Pepper, but how hot was it outside, not how hot you got the room.......It was in the 20's here today to start, and I bet the wind chill never got above that all day....

that was outside! It was wonderful to feel the sun on my back, I miss it so much in the winter, it was a nice break from all the rain and clouds this past week.
I haven't ever really liked the cold. I like snow, it's beautiful when it falls and to look at when I first wake up, then it just turns black and oooky, lol, not so pretty once all the cars get going!

Happy Monday Everyone!! I saw where the East Coast and the "heartland" of the good ol US got hit by snow...brrr..had me a pumpkin latte this morning just to empathize...and yes...with whip cream

it's really weird sittin here in south florida these days. I lived for so many years in Colorado..and endured my fair share of extreme weather at times. Yet, Miami weather is independent of the rest of the country most of the time.
At times, I feel insulated from what goes on elsewhere..the weather everyone else experiences...

We've still got the snow piled up but today was sunny and up in the 50's...a nice day really, but now that it was nice enough and sunny enough to thaw everything out, just means it's all gonna be a mean slick freeze overnight!

The news station here did a test on how much caffine was in De-caf. They found that most of the places actually had de-caf in the cups, but Star Bucks had just as much caffine in it as there regular caffee. In order for it to be considered decaf, they say only about 3 mg of caffine, Star Buck 175 mg, the rest had about 2.6 to 8 mg. Go figure.
