Re: The Cyber Cafe. C'mon in!!!!
Good to know you are OK after you suddenly dropped offline and didn't come back to the Lobby. I watched the radar for your area and saw some pretty scary looking "hook" echos near you. I guess that's one of the "benefits" of living in the mid-west, entertainment by Mother Nature. BE safe! I won't tell you to be good....I don't think you know how!
I have to go to the doc today for labs....yuck another needle! Well, I'll just go shopping afterwards and eat some "junk food" for my reward for being a good boy.
Chazzy don't drink much Red Bull!

Re: The Cyber Cafe. C'mon in!!!!
Howdy, everyone! Well, the fund raiser went pretty good. We got all set up at the square, pulled the dunk tank down there, the firemen filled it up for us, started setting up the tables and BAM! The rain hit hard and heavy. We ended up having to have it at the MS cafeteria. Still made almost $600. It's not over yet, though. I have to sit my ass at the Exxon in town today and try to sell some more raffle tickets. We're having the drawing at 6. After that, I'm sending my daughter to band camp and I'm done!! My hair got a bit more grey, I have aches and pains and bruises in places I never thought existed, my brain has turned to mush.... but it was for the kiddos.. well worth it
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Re: The Cyber Cafe. C'mon in!!!!
Moon I couldn't talk my son into driving me down there because of the rain. He kept joking with me about taking me somewhere for illicit purposes. How illicit is a band fundraiser? Hope it makes you happy and gives you a sense of being in your kids lives. All too soon it is not cool to be seen with Mom and Dad because you are a "free spirit" and an independent person. Fortunately that seems to last only through high school and then they realize the world can be a scary place if you are alone.
Hope you all made it through the 3 day weekend without getting banged up too badly in the process.

Re: The Cyber Cafe. C'mon in!!!!
Thanks, smitty... and that's ok. Maybe y'all can make it down here for the homecoming on the square at the end of June It'll be too late to raise money for band camp this year but we're gonna do a 50/50 raffle and put the money into next year's funds.
I went to set up at the local Exxon yesterday at 2. Well, you know what happened at that time. A frickin' gully washer! I was alone and some nice people helped me put up the canopy only to have the wind knock it down 2 minutes later! Some more nice people helped me get it down before it blew away. I left the table and a few things sitting out and went and waited it out in my truck for about 2 hours. It finally quit raining and we ended up making $248 more. Next year we're starting waaaaayyyyyy ahead of time!
Hope everyone has a great day!
