Atari!
(This is kind of a spinoff of GG's topic about the playstation riots and violence)
Have you ever played video games? What were your favorites? Did you start way back when "pong" was a thrilling way to kill time? Did you just have to have an atari in your home, and found yourself hooked on "Asteroids" ir "Pacman"?
Do you play any of the more current ones, with the amazing grapics, and gratuitous violence?

Re: Atari!
I started with the Commodore 64 and got involved in games development (it's amazing what we could do with 64k of memory) then moved up to the Commodore 128, then the Commodore Amiga. What a fantastic machine that was, far far better than any PC available at the time, with 512k of memory and some Sprites you could do just about anything.
Does anybody remember "Impossible Mission" for the C64?

Re: Atari!
Don't really play games anymore, they don't seem to capture the imagination like the old ones did.

I was a complete Centipede head. I played that game for hours at a time at the pizza place closeby our house.

I remember that one, very simple, but really addictive.

I tend to play action games. Like spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Legacy of Kane series, Also I am a complete Tetris lover, will play for hours!
Love the PS2, and loved Sega, with the original Sonic games. Don't like the new ones though.
Warren likes the WWII games, any kind of racing and of course, football!

I have Spyro on my Christmas list, Moon, and I already have the Crash games, too, not really into the FF games for some reason, though I do have fanily members that are.

Re: Atari!
I don't play any video games but, I remember back in the day when I thought INTELIVISION was hot! The graphics were head and shoulders above the rest at that time. We're talking '79','80 possibly?

Re: Atari!
Video games have changed a lot over the years. Depth Charge was the ultimate game before PacMan, Ms. PacMan, and Baby PacMan (video and pinball game). Does anyone remember them?
