Just a little announcement...
...for those that care...the cat I mentioned, the 18 year old dear soul dying of kidney failure, he's still with me and I don't have to tell you how gut wrenching it is to watch a creature so beloved pass so slowly, and being so helpless...he's a grand beautiful soul that's been a very good "grampa" to allot of kittens in all his years...anyway to the point, I'm just a little preoccupied with him right now, and of course very sad, I'm still listening to all of you, and reading your mail, and will give you every ounce of effort I have to help work out your complaints, etc....I'm just gonna be a little quiet for a little while.....I hope you will be very patient with me right now and I do apologize for not being here for you during your recent comments, concerns, complaints and problems.

Re: Just a little announcement...
Chazzy,
You take care of your kitty and don't think twice about all of this...soon I will be gone for a while too taking care of my Momma more and more all the time. Pets are family members and we mourn for our animal friends too...
Take care of you and your cat...

Re: Just a little announcement...
Chazzy - family ALWAYS comes first, pets included. They become one of. I can't imagine my life without them. Go be with him and allow him to pass with your love and attention surounding him. He deserves that - and so do you.

Re: Just a little announcement...
Chazz, CKTC is right. Come to think of it now, when my 'baby' (the cutest lil Maltese) passed away, no one told me of it until 2 days later being I was only just 2 hours north of town visiting family. I was quite devastated and we also didn't get to bury her with the awesome black lab we had. So that really tore me apart.
So go, do what you need to get through it.

Re: Just a little announcement...
Chazzy, I've lost pets before too, so I know just how you feel. When they've been a member of your family for a long period of time, it's just as painful to see them suffer, as it would be a person. I would be sad if I were to lose my wolf. He goes everywhere with me except for the plane, even rides the Harley with me. So you deal with what you need to for a family member.

Re: Just a little announcement...
The dear thing reguires allot of care right now, he has to have broth and water given to him by eyedropper, he is totally helpless.
He always loved the fire in the woodstove, and would come running when he heard the cast iron doors open, and take his place on a footstool nearby basking it all in it's warmth for hours upon hours.
That's where he is now, I camp out with him, sleeping on the couch keeping him near me....
Thank you all very much.

Re: Re: Just a little announcement...
Chazzy, you have proven over and over what kind of caring person you are and thats what we've all come to love. I hope things miraculously get better for your cat and if you need a friend to talk with-you know where to find me. My thoughts are with you and good luck!

Re: Just a little announcement...
Thank you, needless to say, I am so bummed and torn up because there is nothing more I can do for the sweet thing...I came into this creature's life about 5 years ago, and then it was predicted he wouldn't live much longer then, I have given him 5 more years of a happy, healthy, quality life...I hate being helpless to do anymore for him..

Re: Re: Just a little announcement...
Sometimes we can feel helpless in all aspects of our lives. Times like this, you just have to be thankful for the times you've had and the fact that because of YOU-this cat has had a better quality of life and lived longer than expected. You can only do so much, and as difficult as it is, you must find peace in knowing you've done all you can. I'll be thinking of you and wishing for nothing but the best as thats what you deserve!

Re: Just a little announcement...
Well, I'm happy to say, the cat is doing better and I am shocked but thrilled! He's back to eating and drinking on his own, and can even walk again!
Love is the drug, ya'all!

Re: Just a little announcement...
Thanks, ya'all...I'm not fooling myself, I do realize that the sweet thing doesn't have long, but I'm just happy that I could give him a better quality of life for these days he does have left.

QUOTE (Chazzy @ November 27, 2006, 10:52)Thanks, ya'all...I'm not fooling myself, I do realize that the sweet thing doesn't have long, but I'm just happy that I could give him a better quality of life for these days he does have left. Make no mistake Chazzy, cats are way smarter that we give them credit for. He knows you love him. It's sad to watch helpless to do anything. At least you are giving him some comfort, & maybe love is enough to bring him back.
