Thanksgiving
What the best part you like about this holiday? Seeing my family and friend is what I like the most just tends to bring back memories to me

Re: Thanksgiving
The preparation of the dinner is my favorite part, the guys bonding , watching baseball, the women making fun of them....the kids enjoying eachother, it's the beginning of the most wonderful 36 days of the year

Re: Thanksgiving
In the beginning, seeing old friends and family... In the end, getting the hell out of there!...Only to have to do the same thing two months later...

Re: Thanksgiving
Since I cant be home for the holidays, I guess my favorite part will be seeing my children and my sister on the web-cam they got me. And seeing my grand children as well, all together celebrating and giving thanks for what we have.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL ON THE WN.

Re: Thanksgiving
Giving thanks I am alive and able to spend the time with my family and friends, no matter what we are doing for the holiday. From preparing all the food, to sitting down having the feast of a meal; laughing and joking; to reminiscing about life and past Thanksgivings.

Re: Thanksgiving
Actually it's a day when the family is all there. After stuffing my face with as much as possible, & while dad is taking his hour long after dinner nap, my brother & I usually go out hunting together , just as we did as young boys, every chance we got. Since he only makes it back about 2 times a year, it's nice to be out hunting together, reliving our hunting experiences.... kinda like stepping back in time. Then it's back to the house for more food, like we really need more, & visit, maybe a football game. Something else I got involved in 2 years ago, I joined "Hunters fo the Hungry" where you donate some of the game you hunted, whether it's deer, pheasant, duck, whatever, to feed those less fortunate than us. It makes you feel good inside, also, it's not like I haven't got anything in the freezer

Re: Re: Thanksgiving
Enjoying the Macy's parade with family, then enjoying all of the great food the grandparents make for everyone for lunch. Can't forget about FOOTBALL afterward.

Re: Thanksgiving
In Canada we celebrate thanksgiving on the second Monday of October. We have the traditional turkey with all the trimmings and pumpkin pie. You Americans do this way too late.
