Dance Fever............
This past Saturday, I attended my great-niece's (7 y/o) ballroom dance competition. I expected to see a bunch of adolesent and teen age kids, trying to dance. What I witnessed was some real young kids, such as my niece and adults, dancing all types of stuff such as the rumba, tango, marange, ect, ect. These people can bring it. They all appeared to be enjoying themselves. There were some professionals mixed in but on the whole, just regular people having a good time.
When I wasn't concentrating on on my niece's performance, I was naturally "watching" the sexily dressed female adults, mostly in their 20's and 30's. Boy, are they freakin' limber!!!! Which brings to mind.........
Men, if these women didn't "raise your blood pressure", call the coroner because your DEAD! It looked like some shows I've seen in LAS VEGAS. SEXY!!!!! I've got to tell you, there were times when I had to wait 20 to 30 minutes between my niece's dance performances so thank god for the other "dancers". The time just flew by.
Have any of you gone to one of these dance competitions?

Re: Re: Dance Fever............
There is actually dances like this held every Sunday afternoon from spring through fall at a local park-they have a large covered dance area. It is quite interesting to watch as well as participate in. I'm honestly amazed by what some of the older people are capable of doing-not because they're old/older, but they can teach the younger couples new moves. Its neat they still have the ability to do some of the things they did while in their 20's. Thank god for geritol and prune juice-JUST JOKING.

Re: Dance Fever............
I was involved with a similar "events" while shuttling another niece around to beauty contests about 10 years ago. As a matter of fact, the organization that put on these contests was the same one that sponsered the contests that JON BENET RAMSEY was entered in.
You pay your entry fees for the event (pro model, best dressed, ect, ect) you wish to compete in. It's all a hustle and the money just flows in to the organizers. People believe what they want to believe. I paid thousands of dollars, my niece won numerous "trophies". Big freakin' deal!!!
Same goes with the dance competitions. You pay your entry fee and then maybe you'll get a lousy $5 trophy. Big freakin' deal!!!!

When I think of Dance Fever, I think of the disco era of the 70's, and John Travolta.

Yeh, I agree. I couldn't think of a good subject title. It does sound kinda corny, doesn't it?
