WebNaughty Veteran's Day
How many WebNaughty members are veterans of the armed services, have ever served or currently serving our country?

I raise the flag and say a prayer
and thank God that you all are out there.
Days gone by and days to come
here and now, to everyone
who fought for this country
so brave and true... those who saw battle
and those who trained but never knew.
You're forever in my heart and in my prayers, all of you! On behalf of my family and I, I want to thank you for giving us something, among many things, that we should truly cherish.... FREEDOM!

I gotta mention "lonerwolf", he's a such good person, wonderful to talk to and he is currently serving in Afghanistan....and he is a VIP, so everyone who cares to, can send him a "Thank you" for Veteran's Day!

We luv ya all, veterans and those who have or still are serving!
To those who have seen combat, thank you so much for enduring what is just unimaginable to so many of us, and for those who serve or have served, but never saw combat...just knowing you ready and willing to do so for all of us means more than any of us could possible express to you!!!!
(by the way, if any of ya'all have met or run across any members here currently serving overseas, it would be great if you could mention them for us)

Here in Canada we call November 11 Remembrance Day and we also honour those brave souls who died in battle to keep us free.

I think most of ya here already know I served with the Air Force as a F-16 & F-15 pilot. Although I was assigned to other task occasionally, mostly my job was to fly into another country's (which I hadn't better name) airspace to see how fast they would respond. I can tell you though, once you've invaded their airspace, they respond within minutes.

F-15s and 16s are them funny things with short wings that go real fast aren't they???  I survived 9 years of the slow low stuff without wings. Just had this big fan on the top, and a little one on the back end. Only broke four of them, too.  Well, three anyway. The other sorta got filled with holes.

It's really heartwarming to hear people who are willing to thank the vets, instead of calling them names as was the case in Nam. The ones who were on the front, & made it back is a miracle in itself, that & some luck, & by the grace of God. Here is once that is kinda humorous now that I gotta share.My uncle was in the "Battle of The Bulge". He & 4 others from his combat team were sent on patrol. While returning to their team, instead of taking the long way around, since the deep snow made for tough walking, they decided to take a shortcut across the forest. Soon they see a bunch of guys & some tanks. Elated they all run up asking for a lift from the tanks. My uncle tosses his M-1 rifle to a guy on the tank, but then through the heavy fog, realizes he just tossed his rifle to a German soldier. They had run up to German tanks. My uncle ask for the gun back, & the German soldier actually tosses it back to him. My uncle & his comrades all took off running. Nobody fired a shot. Only a "guardian Angel" could have saved him from a blunder like that.

I now live across the street from the country's B1B bombmers air base ,and let me tell you that when they take off ,I do too..May all you vets , active and re-tired get this humble thank you .. you guys are doing a gret job...!!! !!! THANK YOU...!!!!

A little late, because I wasn't able to get on the computer, but I need to say thank you to all who have served and to all those who kept the home fires burning. I can get up, go to work, and care for my children secure because of the risks you take. Thank you so much!

Ex British Army, served 13 yrs. First Gulf War, Northern Ireland amoung others.
Worked with US forces on many occasions, a great bunch of guys.

Thank you 40something. I am a 19 yr Army veteran, just got back from Iraq this year, and still serving this wonderful country!!!! Thank you to all that have served. And to all those that have supported those that have served.
