My Dad Wants to MEET YOU..........
I always told my two daughters, to be very leery of what kind of boys they hang out with. Thank god, they were very smart and careful girls.
When they were younger (16 & 17), they always insisted on bringing their potential boyfriends home so I could have the P-l-e-a-s-u-r-e of meeting them. That way, I could kinda infer to them, in my own special way, my disdain for any kind of unwanted "attention" they might try on my girls. Most of the boys, I approved of. But just to be sure, I had a favorite baseball bat that I always had nearby when they entered my house and I was sure to pick it up and take a few "pretend" swings in their presence. My wife thought that was a bit much. The boys knew I was a rabid baseball fan, but I never talked baseball when they were in my presence. so they must have they pick-up on my vibes! I think I had them so intimidated that if I thought they had any evil thoughts toward my girls, I could have handed them a knife and they would have cut their own dicks off just to save me the trouble.
I can state, unequivocally, that I never played pepper with anyone's head and there were no castrations performed in my house. I guess the intimidation factor was more powerful than their raging teenage hormones.
Do any of you have any special tales to tell of the meet and greet with your daughters' boy friends?

It just so happened that I was in Denver at my cousins house the night her oldest daughter had a date.Since I have no kids of my own, I decided to play it up good. When he came to the house to pick her up, I made sure I was sitting there sharpening my Bowie Knife,(it goes everywhere with me). While she was putting on her finishing touches, I was talking to him, while sharpening the knife. I said,"you know she is a very nice girl right"? "Oh yes sir! I think she is very nice. We have 3 classes together, & get along great" he replied. Then I said, (still sharpening the knife),"And she will still be a nice girl when you bring her home, right?" Oh yes sir, I'll have her here at 12:30 sharp" "Try again" I said. 12:00? he ask , 11:37 I told him. (my parents did that to me, pick a odd time, so you can't say you forgot, you remember a weird time like that) The whole time my cousin was in the kitchen snickering. But he had her home at 11:30, & not a wrinkle to be seen on her dress

My dad always felt the need to clean ALL of his guns (and he had alot of them!) when ever a male came to the house. All but one left quickly.....never to return.

My Dad is pretty cool when meeting someone special in my life, as he doesn't judge or say much. He just sits back and absorbs it all, and gets to know the person for who they are. As time passes by, Dad and I will have discussions from time to time about the relationship I am in, all Dad and my Mom want is for me to be happy no matter what I want out of my life, even though at times it feels like I am pounding my head against the wall, hehe.

Told both of my daughters suitors when I met them, and I always met them standing up.. I'm 6'4" 220...that I'm shaking you by the hand now, don't make me shake you by the neck later...!!!!

That line is only second to, "I love you as a friend". When I would go to meet the parents and she found me getting along with them, it was dump city...
