Primp and preen
What's in your shower caddy and medicine cabinet?
Are there some products that you have an unwavering loyalty to, A certain brand of shampoo or conditioner?
Or.. do you like to try allot of new, or new and improved products? Or...maybe your choices are based on what's on sale and what coupons you have?
Do you often change brands of deodorants, pain relievers, etc....because you feel after a while you develop some sort of "immunity" to them, and they don't work as well for you?

Re: Primp and preen
I never use soap that has perfume in it. The deodorant that I tend to use is Mitchum, (not sure if it's available in the States) it keeps the BO away, no matter what you do. I don't use shampoo or conditioner for my hair, just soap.

Re: Primp and preen
Oh yes...we do have the Mitchum brand here.
I like the Aussie brand of shampoos and conditioners.
I do change types of pain relievers and such, it does seem that by sticking to one kind you can reach a level of ineffectiveness with them.

Touch wood (puts hand on head) I haven't had a headache for a long time, that hasn't disappeared after a few minutes meditation.

Re: Primp and preen
I get way too many headaches...headaches from allergies, from eyestrain, from stress(when my husband is in a demanding whiney mood)
What's bad for us women is, when we finally after much expense and trial and error, find our perfect product, like the perfect foundation, hair dye shade, perfect nail polish color, etc...and then suddenly one day, we have it on our shopping list, but it's no longer on the shelf...DISCONTINUED!!! ARRRGGGGHHH!!!!

Re: Primp and preen
I've tried every kind of shampoo and conditioner on the market. Even the cheap stuff. Finally had to settle on Pantene Pro-V. Awesome stuff! Soap, has to be Dove.. the original white bar. I have sensitive skin so, after countless months of trial and error, I found that Degree for women is the only one that won't irritate my skin... and it works great! I don't have any preference for hair color or make up because I don't use them. I use excedrin for headaches. Had to lay off of them for a long while, though. My body got used to the chemicals and it didn't work anymore. After a few years of cleansing the system, they work again.
One thing I canNOT live without on my bathroom counter is my basket full of pony tail holders!! I don't usually wear pony tails but they're handy to have when you wash your face, brush your teeth, etc. My daughter is constantly losing them

I have so much stuff on my bathroom counter - jewelry, hair stuff, soap, moisturizer, pictures (of course), toothpaste, not counting on all the other stuff I have in the medicine cabinet - contact lense cleaner, perfume, ect. No medicine - that is locked under the cabinet - little nosey fingers you know.

Re: Primp and preen
Because of my hunting, I have to buy special deodorant, soap ect with no perfumes. Even laundry soap. Can't have anything that deer, elk, &hogs can smell.,A deer can smell a single strand of your hair 1,500 yards away. if they smell you, they won't come near you.

Re: Primp and preen
They can "red flag" me, put me on a hundred lists, check my identification as much as they want...I get allergy and sinus headaches allot and I'm still gonna keep buying my legal limit of pseudoephederine ..I still give the new products a try, but they just don't give me the same relief.

Oh yes....I've even been questioned in the parking lot of Walmart, cuz I also had coffee filters and kitty litter in my cart...(a cashier called the hotline cuz I had three "precusors or ingredients" for meth in my purchase there!!!
Had just about any other cashier had checked me out, it would have been different, I bought coffee filters..and coffee, I bought kitty litter...and cat food, and most of the cashiers know me, know all about my coffee habits and my house full of cats and know that a house full of cats can give a person plenty of reason to buy allergy pills!

If you get migrains Chazzy, I'm telling ya, try a vitamin called "Lecithin" I started getting them bad after my burn. Prescription meds, change of diet, none of those worked. But lecithin took away headaches completely.

Re: Primp and preen
I use to get migranes...a lonnnng time ago, and exedrin was about the only thing that even helped at all.
Don't get migranes anymore, now all my headaches are from sinus congestion due to allergies.
