Re: Thanksgiving
Well, we all MUST gather at the elder sister's house, (we call her Sarg, or Sargeant) We have a good ole regimented time there! We must arrive at a certain time even though this is like 4 hours before the meal, and everything must, and I mean must go as she has planned.

Re: Thanksgiving
We go to my parents house. Sometimes my brother and his family are there also. But really not anything special, as most of the time I have to work. Mother nature does my yard decorating for me, although you could come on up and take care of the leaf raking duties.

Re: Thanksgiving
Instead of the traditional turkey I usually do, I'm doing something for a small group of 6 of us. A hunter friend of mine is donating 2 wild Canadian geese to the cause (so he's automatically invited even if he's a pain in the ass) and I'm going to Weber them wrapped in bacon strips with cranberry glaze and spices. Then sweet potatoes baked with pineapple chunks, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter in a casserole dish, a 3 lettuce salad with tomatoes, etc., with Italian, Blue Cheese, Ranch or French dressing (your choice), steamed green beans & chopped green onions, 2 pumpkin pies & 2 apple pies (yes homemade) with fresh whipped cream or Haagendaz Vanilla ice cream and pretty much whatever you want to drink, alcoholic or not. Crap! I'm havin' Popeye's chicken tonight. Doesn't sound as good as it did when I brought it home.

Re: Thanksgiving
We all gather at mom & dads home. Being the hunter I am, I supply the turkey, (wild) I put it in the smoker, not much trouble, but very good. Then we also have ham, which guess what, I just happen to have a few lbs. of spare ham, from my wild boar hunt. And a must, & I mean a must, I gotta have moms sour cream raisin pie, (my favorite)

Re: Thanksgiving
You're more than welcome Tica. There's more than enough to go around. Figure between 4 & 5:00 on the 23rd. I'll send you a mapquest page to print out for directions. We'll figure out the "sleeping arrangements" later, ok?...
