About last night
I had fun in the chat room last night. I yacked y'all's ears off and I'm sorry about that. When the topic of the conversation has anything to do with animals, I tend to talk WAY too much! I started thinking afterwards how I must've sounded. Just wanted to let y'all know that I'm definitely NOT a granola eating tree hugger or an obsessed animal rights activist (like the hardcore members of PETA!). I do love animals but I'm not a vegetarian either. I'm a meat and taters kinda gal. And MMMMM-MMMM! I gotta have my brisket!! I'm not opposed to hunting either. As long as you eat what you kill and not just kill for a head to put on your wall!!
I just get so passionate about the subject! A lot of things piss me off about how animals and wildlife are being treated. For instance, in the Yellowstone reintroduction program: Did you know that when a farmer's cattle are killed by a wolf (it has to be a confirmed wolf kill first, they can find out by the bite marks, etc.) the Defenders Of Wildlife reimburse them for each head of cattle killed?!! And they still bitch about it! My question always has been and always will be, who was there first?!! That and the legalized aerial killing of wolves and wolf pups in Alaska really chaps my hide!!!!!!!!!! 150 wolves have already been shot and another 4-500 are to be killed this winter!! And for what, you might ask? So there'll be enough game for the hunters! It all comes down to MONEY!! Makes me sick to my stomach!!
Anyhow, I'll quit bitching now... lol
Just thought I'd let y'all know where I stand and again, I'm sorry about yacking so much last night.

You right Money always has the upper hand over nature, wildlife and people. Stand your ground cause every voice helps a little.

Re: About last night
You're right, DEye. Do you ever get so passionate about something that just thinking about it makes you want to scream?!!! I'll be the first to admit that when I think about it I can't help but cry. There are so many injustices in this world and it seems that it's always the helpless and the innocent ones (children and animals) that get the brunt of the abuse. It's sad to say but it makes me want to do bad things to the offenders. I can think of a million ways to exact justice on them!!

The other night there was a local news story abut just this topic, more or less. It seem some guy was looking into the apartment window at a 5 year old girl sleeping. Someone saw him and before it was over sever people, the kids mother, her boy friend and another young lady (all in there mid 20's I think) beat the shit crap out of this guy and while he was down the girls mother poked a 1' long tree branch up this guys ass. It would almost be funny, but this guy is now on life support and if he dies there all fucked for life....The 'hole' thing was caught on the buildings security cameras so it's a bullet proof case against the mother and her friends. In the end the kid loses right or wrong

Re: About last night
DEye, it is sad to think that they might go to prison for what they did and he might pull through and live out his life with a slap on the wrist!! Reminds me of that guy a while back who shot his daughter's molester in the courthouse while standing at the phone booth. I would've waited outside with a bigger gun. Wait till he walks out and fill his ass full of buckshot!!! Sick bastard!! Temporary insanity, it works for the sickos who murder their own children! That's another VERY sad story!! There's no excuse in the WORLD for a person to do something like that!

Re: About last night
I'm with ya Bawbie!
Co-habitation, symbiotic relationships. When I lived way out in the country, I was happy to see a few very large Wolf spiders sharing my home, cuz I knew I wouldn't have other undesirable insect to worry about. And a few black snakes were alway welcome, kept the mice out of the chicken feed, and no mice in the house, and one of the only snakes that will help keep the copperhead population down around your home.

Re: About last night
I saw a rattlesnake up in northern PA last month while I was camping. Cute little guy on the highway about 2 feet long. Some asshole ran him over while I was turning around to take pictures of the snake.
