Innocent untill proven guilty..
Are you someone that always gets accused of things, silly or serious?
Do you have someone in your life, friend, family, or co--worker that is always making accusations about anyone and everyone?
Have you ever accused someone harshly, then felt sooooo bad when you were proven wrong?

Re: Innocent untill proven guilty..
This was definitely a "guilty until proven innocent" situation. Back in the mid '70s when I lived in WI, I had a '67 Lincoln that I had really done up sharp, metallic black, wide white walls, suicide doors, etc., and was going though Racine, WI at about 1:00 AM. I probably wasn't 3 or 4 blocks inside the city limits when first one and within no time, 4 Racine cop cars were behind me lights & sirens going. I pulled over, within seconds they were out of their cars and all around my car with their guns pointing at me. I was pulled from the car, thrown on the ground and cuffed. I kept yelling at them asking what the f**k I had done wrong. I was thrown into the back seat of one of their cars, taken to jail, no Miranda, no phone call through all of this and no explanation of what I was doing there. I spent the night in a solitary cell handcuffed to a sink and no answers. When the first shift started in the morning I was released and only told by one younger cop that there had been a gas station robbery in Milwaukee the night before and the get-a-way car was a black Lincoln. The story was in the Milwaukee Journal & Sentinel papers the next day and they were still looking for 2 black guys and a dark blue or black Lincoln Continental. So how in the hell did I end up in jail with no proper arrest procedure (being told why I was being arrested, Miranda rights, phone call, etc.) and being a white guy on top of it? If I had had even half of the life experience that I have now, I would have hired a lawyer that wouldn't have left a scrap on their bones.

Re: Innocent untill proven guilty..
Once after having a few too many whiskey sours with some friends, I came up with the bright idea to go home & grab this roll of yellow crime scene tape I had took from my brothers cop car, then the 3 of us went down to the bank, ( only 4 doors down from bar) my friend layed down on the sidewalk & I drew a chalk line around him, we then strung the crime scene tape around the chalk line. The next day, the deputy, who has been a friend since we were young, came up to me & said, it has your signature all over it. They were pretty sure I at least had a part in it, but I never admitted nothing to them.
