Halloween Inn
IN celebration of Halloween...even if you don't believe in such things....is there any place that you would love to or be willing to spend the night in or at, either to experience a haunting or debunk ghost stories associated with it?
The Lizzie Borden house is now a b&b, and you can book the room where Lizzie's mother was murdered, there's the Myrtle's Plantation...
In Missouri there'a a "spook light" an orb that supposedly, if you fortunate enough to be there at the right time, will follow and dance around you...always wanted to go and check that out for myself..

Re: Halloween Inn
Back to "An American Haunting." I'd like to visit the Bell house and the Bell witch cave! I think it was Andrew Jackson that said, "I'd rather face the whole British army than spend one night in the Bell house."

Re: Halloween Inn
Only a few miles from me...deep, deep in the woods...nearly impossible to find...is an ancient Native Indian little "stonehenge" kinda thing...some say it's a large sundial, but the location is all wrong for that, I've seen one photo of it...anyone who manages to find it, can't seem to ever find their way back to see it a second time..seems like a cool camping spot to me...

How cool would it be to spend the nite in any centuries old castle in Europe?

Re: Halloween Inn
My pick would probably be, "Hammon Castle" in Gloucester Massachusetts. It's been turned into a museum. A lot of strange goings-on have been occuring. Pictures on the walls ending up stacked in the middle of the room and the security cameras not seeing a thing. Once they found an old harpoon, from the whaling days, lodged into the solid rock wall. It was sticking out the other side, outside and neither the rock or the harpoon showed signs of being forced through. It was if it just passed through the rock and got stuck half way. Spooky...

Re: Halloween Inn
I'm there every night. I live next door to an apartment that some woman lived in and turned out to be missing. Still to this day, haven't 'found' her if I remember right.

Even though it had been modernized with running water, electricity & such, it was still kinda cool. The dungeon had been turned into where the water heater & pantry, but the chains were left there.

Re: Halloween Inn
Quest for Contact
"In the summers of 1992, a group of enthusiasts set out to prove the authenticity of the mysterious crop circle phenomenon by attempting to video a formation being created by non-human forces. Using psychics as their guide, they embarked on a four-year voyage of discovery, experiencing astonishing paranormal phenomena.
Crop circles appeared in uncanny circumstances, glowing lights in the sky were witnessed, a series of bizarre 'coincidences' was set into motion and remarkable visions and messages were received which would change the lives of all involved.
The team's work took them on a journey through ancient and famous landmarks of the beautiful Sussex landscape contacting enigmatic spiritual entities and culminating in an extraordinary experiment in which a crop formation was created with the power of thought."
I live near "Cissbury Ring" where all this took place, if you want to come and stay for Halloween, be my guest. Can't guarantee any glowing lights, but it will still be enjoyable going around the rim.

Did you watch it last night when they heard a kid's voice in that little girl's room?
And the prison. Almost 1000 people killed and only around 100 were put to death by the state! One man was gutted to death by 8 inmates for bein' a rat.

I watched that one!! My favorite was when they investigated Waverly Hills Sanatorium, even if you don't believe...just watching "TAPS" for the history, legends, and getting a tour of some of the landmarks is worth the time!
