little things
sometimes in life we all hurry through it that we miss the little things. i for one am guilty of it. but this morning i saw one of the sweetest things i have ever seen before in my life, and i wanted to share my "ahhhh moment."
lil red and i were outside chasing butterflies, bugs, and picking up leaves. (all three are very popular) she was in the process of trying to catch a butterfly, when out of no where a pretty yellow one showed up. she stopped to look a it, and it landed on her nose. she actually stood there STILL (a miracle in itself) for about 10 seconds. just looking at it.
watching her look at the butterfly, reminded me that sometimes we are in such a hurry to get from one place to another, that we miss the butterflies. my advice, take time to chase the butterflies, because you never know when one might land on you.

Re: little things
My daughter was cleaning out her gecko cage over the weekend and for some strange reason, maybe all the water on the back patio there was a huge swarm of butterflies! We would step up on the patio and they would fly all around and land on you. Pretty amazing spectacle!
Having my tater wake up, walk into the kitchen and hug my leg.... then stretch his arms up to me, picking him up and giving him kisses
He loves the outdoors! I can watch him throw a golf ball and retrieve it all day long! Sometimes he yells real loud, throws his arms up and I swear it reminds me of an orangutan
So many "little things" to cherish. I wouldn't miss them for the world!

Hum, now that sounds familiar, almost. But my cat will eat it. Must be the protein.

I so enjoy anytime I'm in the checkout line behind a sweet little child who is just so excited and wants to show me and tell me all about the new toy or treat that is about to be scanned, bought and taken home with them.....

Life's about taking the time out to smell the flowers; look at the precious things in life that people take for granted, and be grateful.

Re: little things
I was stopped at a stop light in a very busy town and was jammin' to the radio - I looked out the window and there was this lone little bird in the median and it's little head was boppin' to the music. It was so funny and I will never forget that moment!

Re: little things
My son will do a little cheer dance type of thing for me when he sees me coming. It's just so cute cuz he's one to not keep things quiet as far as how loud he speaks and to have everyone know he cheers for me is a feeling I can't forget.

Re: little things
I always want to stick my foot out and trip those little brats at walmart that are running up and down the Isles knocking all the stuff off the shelves and trying to open up everything, but I am always scared someone would see me, especialy if the little tyke split his lip open,,,I would laugh my ass off, till the police came and arrested me for battery or something.

Like being grateful for that SPECIAL FRIEND that dont mind when you drop in at any hour and they are willing to stay up and talk to you and listen to your problems regardless of what they are going through themselves.
Thank you for being a SPECIAL FRIEND.

Gonna stay right here till he's done playing with his new little friend and Mr. Mouse is taking a long "nap"!!!! I can relate to this Chazzy, once my timber wolf found about 1/2 a dead cow somewhere,& it had been dead for some time. He had drug it onto my porch & when I awoke next morning, he was there , tail waggin, with his tongue hanging out eager to show me his present that he had brought me. OMG, did it stink, plus I think he had rolled in it cuz he smelled just as bad. So a bath was in order right away. Not how I like to wake up.

Got a wolf cub/pup (9 wks old) in 1975 from an Indian friend of mine in Red Lake, MN area. Had "Lobo" for 11 years. Best "dog" and friend I ever had. he'd bring home rabbits, cats, mink, pieces of deer carcasses, etc., regularily. (A big white rooster once, god knows where he got that from although there were some farms around). Had to keep him in a 12 X 20 kennel with my Siberians and Malamutes, but until I put a concrete slab in, he'd dig out underneath and be gone. He always looked "proud" too when he'd come back all matted, dirty and ready to be a "good boy" for a while.

Re: little things
It is the little things that matter, like when I get a text message telling me, "You are the best baby" just when I am going into a lecture that I am worried about, or when I get to the preschool to pick up my son..
he sees me...
"MOMMY"
and he runs into my arms. Those are the moments you cherish the rest of your life.
