Beautiful breed. Relatively rare here in the states compared to other shorter-haired shepherd (German) breeds. I understand the Alsatians are a stronger, more robust breed and extremely inteligent and take to training quickly.

Yes, thats right TM. Me and my shadow.
Beautiful breed. Relatively rare here in the states compared to other shorter-haired shepherd (German) breeds. I understand the Alsatians are a stronger, more robust breed and extremely inteligent and take to training quickly.
Three dogs from his litter were used as police dogs. It's surprising how unintelligent he is, when it's something he doesn't want to do!

We're over-run with them here as we're right next to the Indiana Dunes Nat'l Lakeshore Park and everything with maybe the exception of woodticks is protected. They have a "culling" about every 2-3 years to thin the herd issuing a specific number of special season permits. Have seen several 10, 12 and 14 pt bucks in this area.
