Any NY Yankee fans out there?
Any time I talk baseball with friends/acquaintances, as soon as I tell them my favorite team is the Yankees-they look at me in disgust. Could it be the 26 world series rings has left a bad taste in their mouth and their favorite team hasn't won anything CLOSE to that or they feel that their championships have been bought. Is it just me or has every other team had the same opportunities as the Yanks and decided not to take the same route. To me, people shouldn't hate the Yanks for being what they are: A world class organization that wants to do what it takes to win a championship every year. They should serve as a role model for other clubs who want to win championships consistently and not be one year wonders-then dismantle their team and have a fire sale. (AKA-Florida Marlins) Whats your thoughts??

I hate the Yankees. I dispise all sports teams that try to win it all by luring players with outrageous big money contracts. I hope they lose out in the first round.

26 championship rings, and probably all but 2 or 3 have been bought with money that other organizations only wished they could have.

Yankees suck!!
The Florida Marlins figured it out and beat them at their own game! yes, they may have dismantled the team right after..but what the hey...
it's not like the Yankees have a farm system worth a spit..that in part is why they buy their success, which by the way, if recent World Series rings are the barometer, such as since 2000...the Yankees BLOW!!

I'm starting to see that the Web Naughty community is like everybody else. Could at least a couple TRUE Yankee fans please step up. I hope I'm not alone here. How can this many people root against the BEST TEAM THERE EVER WAS!!!!
