What do YOU do?
What do YOU do when your mood takes a dive....do you run and hide....do you go for a ride?
What do YOU do when your Baby turns cold.....do you act very bold....or do you do as your told?
What do YOU do when you can't stop the tears....do you cower in fear.....or tell everyone "Just Steer Clear!"
I've been so very moody....don't quite know the why....my guy runs hot and cold without even a hi.....want to just stop the crying and hurt that is deep in me....sure wish I could just mount him and f*** him plain silly.....
Share with me your ways of combatting moodiness...sadness...lonliness and despair....I could really use some ideas.......Thanks all........

Re: What do YOU do?
When my mood goes south I curl up in bed. When the man gets cold (which isn't very often) I get bold. And when all I can do is cry - I snuggle in his arms.
It is hard when we feel down, try to pinpoint the problem - not HIM or HER - the actual problem and talk it over as adults, no blaming, etc. Always, as long as you mean it, add I love you's. I think it is so important in a relationship to encourage and boost instead of discourage and stomp down. If it is a problem that only you are dealing with - write possible fixes on a piece of paper, write pros and cons of each and work on it. Instead of procrastinating - a huge weight will be lifted!
Ok, I went on, and on - but I hope something hits home and helps!

Re: What do YOU do?
I've never been into running myself....I have run...but that was so so long ago and there were usually minors and cops involved lmao....damn there's that law enforcement thing again....maybe that's where it started....
Seriously though....I did end up going to the gym and working my ass off on the weight machines...I always feel soooo much better after I do that....not quite sure why I hadn't gone yet that day...probably was too busy feeling sorry for myself....
Any rate....it's all good kids....do appreciate all the input and help you loveys sent me.....

Re: What do YOU do?
I don't know of a better place to get all the support from so many different people. Just to get a good laugh is some times enough. I mean we try to keep it light at work, considering all the dirt bags that I have to deal with. And they wonder why I'm a nut case.

Re: Re: What do YOU do?
I totally agree with you CKTC. writing your emotions down, even if the words keep going around in circles, you are releasing your frustrations, or like you said Westie, exercising helps, coming here and getting a laugh or to, communicating with your significant other helps, venting sometimes to a complete stranger who is not judgmental and has a good ear for listening to you is another outlet. I know exactly how you feel Westie. Sometimes when a woman is going through the change of life their emotions fly up and down as if on a roller coaster ride, or when we are pms'ing. Any time you need or want to chat with me, just let me know, I am there for you.

RAOK....which stands for Random Acts of Kindness...
Sometimes, there is just little we can do for ourselves, and our own lives, but one little act of kindness from us can do great things for others, others who are in a much worse situation than we are...take the focus of yourself and onto others.
Take a sack full of food to your food pantry, imagine how wonderful it is for parents in such dark despair, to be able to take home some decent food to feed their children.
Clean out your closets, and donate some good clothing to a shelter, (now is the time to donate some coats and blankets for the homeless...)
Give a compliment to a stranger, show some friendly patience while in the checkout line at the market, wave another car through trying to get into a lane of traffic when no one else will....
Ya'all know what I'm talking about...

Me too, Michigan is a beautiful state from top to bottom and the snow is beautiful on the trees but hate to have to deal with ice and drive in storms, etc. Used to live in the Upper Peninsula of MI and enjoyed snowmobiling, ice fishing, skiing, snoeshoeing, etc. Indiana is much more developed and has crap for the above activities. Things are polluted, topography is pretty much flat and so now I really don't care to deal with winter anymore.

Re: What do YOU do?
Sure hope I'm not puttin' my foot in my mouth here.
I'v read all the responses but did not see anyone suggest professional help or medication. If you really go into the dumps often you might see someone for some help. YES I take a little something for anxiety / depression.
Sometimes a good book or movie can take your mind off your troubles. And your right, a good bout of exercise also helps. Of course an understanding friend can also help.
Hope this helps and I did not upset anyone.
