Ouch!!!
What's the worst physical trauma your body has suffered?
I've been fortunate, no broken bones, just appendicitis, and at one time, had a bad time with migraines.

Re: Ouch!!!
Ive had broken bones and a concussion, but by far the worst was when I had twisted testicals. It was worse than getting a line drive in the crotch. For those who dont know, its when the nuts become detached from the bottom of the sack. With nothing holding them in place, they twist, cutting off blood flow to them which will actually make them die. I had to be cut open and have them sewn back in place. The irony of it all was that my doctor's name was Hardener!

Re: Ouch!!!
Right ankle was destroyed in an equestrian accident about 7 years ago. I have a steel plate holding it together, and had 2 bone grafts to repair the crushed bones. Still has 7 or 8 screws, one plate and pain when the barometer drops.
But it is still there and I can do everything I could before the fall.

Yow, Pleasant, that sure sounds . . . unpleasant.

Re: Ouch!!!
I can't remember anything worse then when I was a toddler and we had a car accident... hit my head on the dashboard. Had seizures for several years after that... I think it's the cause of my headaches now. I'm sure I've done a lot worse, though... I think I've suppressed all the bad memories
Then again, I've had so many stitches it's hard to keep count! Mostly from sharpening a pencil with a sheetrock knife

Re: Ouch!!!
During lunch at my old school, this kid was for some odd reason throwing a pencil up in the air and tried to catch it when it came back down. Once it fell to the ground a good distance from him, I went and grabbed it and him, and he came and pushed me and I fell to the ground with the lead side up in which it stabbed me not more than about 5 cm away from my right eye. I pulled it out and ran to the nurses office and she took me to the er.
My then yellow coat turned red, son of a bitch. Favorite coat too.

Re: Ouch!!!
I suffered from appendicitis from the ages of 10 till 18 until finally one winter afternoon I was playing hockey and after I got home I experienced the most extreme pain in my right side of my abdomen. My father immediately took me to the emergency ward where the doctors determined acute appendicitis and surgery was scheduled. I found out the next day after surgery that my appendix had ruptured just as the surgeon opened me up. During convalescence at home my incision broke open and smelly yellow puss came dripping out. The doctor never bothered to drain all the stuff out after surgery. I was lucky that I never developed any infection. It took me much longer to recover because my incision had opened up. I missed 4 weeks of school.

Re: Ouch!!!
The dentist I saw when I was a young boy did not believe in using Novocain for drilling and it seemed that each time I went to see him I needed 3 or 4 teeth filled. The drilling of my teeth was pure torture. I can relate to the character Dustin Hoffman played on Marathon Man.

Re: Ouch!!!
Mine was from a dentist also. He was pulling a tooth and all of a sudden we heard a snap, and oh shit, from the dentist. He looked at the tooth and left the room. A couple minutes later he returned only to inform me that I had to rush to the oral surgeon, 45 minutes away. Here the tip of the tooth root broke off. I arrived at the surgeons office and he asked if there was any one else that could drive. I said NO. He started his thing and was having no luck, so he said that he had one more option before I went to the hospital for even more surgery. He gave me about a gallon of Novocain, and started up has hand held circular saw. It wasn't pretty, all that tissue slamming into the back of my mouth. The nurse was doing her suction thing when the hose plugged up. She looked in amazement and said "hey, look what I found." Thank god it was the broken tip. So the Doc sewed me up, and on my home.

Re: Ouch!!!
There's bad, and then there's bad bad. Bad would be the time I dropped a two hundred pound marble top dinnning table on my shins. Completely tore the skin from the bone all the way down to my ankles both right and left legs. Bad, Bad would probably the time my father bought me my first five speed bike. I got it for X-mas. Couldn't ride it until April. The first day I took it out, the front fork split at the handle bars and I went down face first, losing three of my front teeth. As a result I had extensive surgery done, including braces and root canals. To make it worse, later I had braces applied, because the gap caused the other teeth to move. The orthodontist was a real jerk-off. He kept me in braces for five years. After that he removed them and claimed no responsibility for treatment. I was left with calcium deposits on the remaining teeth. He filed them off, not only taking off the calcium, but the enamel as well. I had to have all my teeth removed at the ripe old age of 19. To this day, I am reminded of this whenever I bite on anything that is hard or chewy...

Re: Ouch!!!
I jumped off a balcony...about 12 feet. The next thing i knew, my tiba and fibula were sticking out the side of my leg. Blood was everywhere. Nurses were getting sick. Lol. I had to get a rod in my leg and three screws. As well, i had to get a skin graft to cover up the hole that was made by the bones coming out of my skin. They came out with such force that they ripped th pants i was wearing.

O yeah, I broke my hand playing kickball in grade school and spraned both ankles numerus times and jammed varous fingers numerous times. Other than that, no injuries here!

I got so many scars you'd have to use a calculator. Both forearms from broken bottles(bar fights)but you should have seen the other guys when it was over(S&W 38 ruled),left knee (orthroscopic surgery),hemmorhoid surgery, appendictomy, hernia surgery, scars from my job, and 2 yrs ago Laproscopic prostrate surgery(5 from it).You may not believe this but I never took any type of pain medications for any of the surgeries in or out of the hospital. The Dr.s and nurses could't believe it either.Very strong pain tolerance or plum stupid..

Other than the normal stitches and such as a kid....the worst Truama I have had was when I was 8 months pregnant with my oldest daughter....I was in a car accident in which I was in the back seat of the car...We were rear-ended and the truck lid of the car came through the back window and damn near scalped me. Had about two inches of skin holding my scalp to the rest of me. About 100 stitches later....here I am!!
And now ya'll know why I am sooooo hard headed!! lol

Re: Ouch!!!
The most traumatic thing I have had happen was when I gave birth to my oldest son.....I almost died.....Was in labor for 11 hours (and that wasn't so bad or out of the ordinary) however they had to induce me, and with that came the complications....(I was on bed rest for the past 2 months due to toxemia as well).......It was horrible!......I lost half the blood in my body and pushed for 5 hours!....I begged for them to just take him out!.....I went in at 3 in the morning and didn't have him till 11:00 at night......They wanted me to have a blood transfusion, but I refused....So it took me over a year to get my count up, and before that year was up, I was already pregnant with the second!...
Which his birth was almost as bad!.......The third was a c-section, and it was the best thing I had ever done!
I also broke my collar bone, tore the muscle in my thigh from soccer, and broke all my toes jumping off a deck when I was about 3......And I WONDER where my kids get it from!....

Re: Ouch!!!
I learned the hard way last yr...sneaky around to move someone elses furniture is hazardous to your health...after sending my son to Walmart in order not to hear him gripe...I moved to enormous recliners (why does he hve such large furniture) and then without waiting for my daughter in law to help...I flexed my muscles and pulled the also enormous couch halfway across the living room...took a moment to catch my breath (should have recognized the warning signs) and grab that sucker for one last pull...dislodged a blood clot in the ole ticker and had a major heart attack. Now not wanting to alarm anyone or take a chance on listening to a lecture from my son when he returned I quickly sat down and asked for a glass of iced tea stating that I thought I'd overdone it but would finish moving the furniture in just a sec. Well I got the lecture, I met an adorable doc in local ER, I enjoyed the massive amounts of pain killers the next evening (they never work when they're supposed to) and I had the most amazing helicopter ride (they even tipped it a bit so I could see the scenery)....so beware of furniture...if it is calling you to move it...ignore...by the way I'm forbidden to touch anyones furniture again ever...but you know me...I still sneak...I'm such a daredevil

I dunno, I've got quite a list, I've had my hand cut off that took 13 operations & 1 yr. to get back to use, I've had a tractor explode on me that put me in the burn center for 6 weeks & got new skin from the waist up. The burn was the worst, I know of nothing that comes close to matching that pain.

Hi Liz, I just want to let you know that lots of people have turned cancer around, although all AMA doctors and their curriculums are sponsored by the nations drug companies and would like us to believe most disease and cancer are hereditary, High ranking Neutritionist and Holistic Doctors know that the only thing hereditary is our Diets what we were tought to eat by our parents and grand parents. Which in all cases will determine our state of health and how our bodies control or succumbs to sickness and disease. All medical industry has known for eons that our bodies are like gardens and thrive at a Neutral Balanced PH of around 6.9 to 7.5 on a PH scale of 1 to 15 anything out of that range is acidic or alkaly and predisposes us sickness or in the case of a garden you have poor or dying plants. You should google The Moss reports, and read the book The China Study.
I love your smile and hope you will help yourself to turn this around, I know you can do it, Love ya, hothands
