White noise
Do you enjoy silence, or like to always have the T.V. on in the background?
Do you go to sleep with the T.V., radio, or a sound machine or do you need peace and quiet and even the crickets or traffic outside your windows deprive you of a good nights sleep?
When you are reading, can you tune out the world, and do you need to find the time and place that offers no distractions?

I don't mind silence, esp when I'm reading. At other times, I love to have music, if I had my way, I'd have it on 24/7, lol,but most of the time the tv is on, sometimes, we'll put a looooong movie in and jusy snooze on the couch, rainy days are perfect for that!

Since 9-11, I have a tv on in my office all day. And Nick at Nite is on all night long.

During the day when I'm home sometimes the t.v. is on or the radio and sometimes nothing. Depends on the day. At work the radio is always on. At night Pa has to have the t.v. on all night . when he is not home it is on but the sound is way low or muted. then he turns it up when he comes in.
Reading I can read anyplace.

During the nights always sleep with at least one fan on, whether summer or snowing outside. It's so quiet at night, way too quiet, you could hear a frog fart. During the day there's always some kind of machinery running so quiet is out of the question.

i like to have the radio on. when im reading or working i like the radio on low. i used to fall asleep with the radio on...the wife changed that real quick! 
when i'm working out, cooking or whatever around the house, i like to pump it to the max...when the wife is not around
the idiot box anoys me...unles the wife is around

I like when the weather is warm and I can open the windows and hear all of natures wonderfull exciting night noises, screachin tires, neighbors fighting, gun shots, cats screwin in the empty lots, drunken bumbs banging into garbage cans,,,,

I like to listen to Old Rock, quite Country or Celtic music and the sound of distent bagpipes calling me home. But mostly in the spring and summer I like to listen to the Spring tree frogs and Summer whipper-wils making their selves be known. In the winter I like to here the sound of a single malt scotch or a glass of fine wine being pored as I sit and listen to the crackel of the fire place as the cold wind wipes outside. But for now quite means it's safe and a day closer to coming home.

I have always been one to need some kind of noise.....The quietness with three really BAD BOYS is NOT A GOOD THING! 
However in all seriousness, I have to sleep with the TV on all night........

The sound of crickets are natures symphony orchestra, lullaby ya to sleep. No noise can be music. But when you need a distraction ROCK OUT!!!
