Second hand..
Anyone like to hit the yard and gargage sales, or maybe set one up yourself every so often?
How about flea markets, second hand shops, local auctions, estate sales?

I love them, flea markets, yard sales, thrift shops, nothing better than getting something that should be a lot, for a little!

Re: Second hand..
We have an airport here that about three times a year they fill up up with a huge flea market....Called the Stormville Flea Market......I haven't been there in a few years, only because I cant stand the traffic to get their.....All back roads!...Yuck!.....However, I do enjoy looking to see what I can find.....
I have never had one myself, I would rather just put the shit out on the front lawn and give it away for free......Just couldn't be bothered to sit there and sell it....I know, what a shame!

Re: Second hand..
Flea markets can be fun.
I prefer to go to the used stuff stores that support some charity. The money goes for a good cause, plus they usually have old items not found elsewhere.

Re: Second hand..
I go to a lot of estate sales, basically because I am nosey and like to rummage around other people's things.
As for lawn darts, Chazzy is right on. They don't make 'em the way they used to. They used to make em so that little children would be severely injured using them. Now the ones they make are just no fun anymore. Too light and flimsy.

Re: Second hand..
I like a second hand, as long as it belongs to someone else.

Re: Second hand..
Books! I buy books at the yard and garage sales. Nothing is quite as great as finding an old collection of 1920's literature for fifty cents a book, or entire leather bound albums for a buck. Movies and DVDs are usually great buys too. Why pay a store $24.99 when someone is selling it for a quarter in their garage?
