current events...
What source do you choose for your news? Local TV newstations, CNN, pick up a newspaper and read at your leisure, or maybe a home page when you turn on your computer?
Maybe you rely on more than one?
Do you faithfully check the weather forcasts every day, several times a day?
How often do you concern yourself with getting the latest news? Several times a day, once a day, or maybe way less and figure if anything big happens, the Emergency Broadcast System will buzz ya about during your favorite show?

I don't watch the weather channel at all. We get what we get, not a damn thing you can do about what's coming your way.
Only time I get a bit freaked out if is some big-ass weather is happening and just don't like to be by myself with only my son. I grew up with a few brothers, so I was used to having someone around. In fact, we would go out driving through the weather just for the heck of it. Sometimes I'm almost comfortable to do just that than to sit at home and wait.

Nope, can't change the weather, can't do anything about it but work around it, I know most anyone that needs to work outside, like in contruction and landscaping, do track the weather closely...I've been checking the weather lately, dam belt broke on my clothes dryer, and I gotta make sure I'm not stuck with a bunch of wet clothes I can't dry!

I watch the Early Show every morning.....From about 4:55 till whenever the kids come in to change it to Spongebob...... 
I will watch CNN as well when there is nothing else on.....But I mainly get the news from the TV and channel 2.......

Local news, local newspaper (after I do the crossword puzzle and read the comics  )
I don't need to turn it on the weather channel... my 10 year old future meteorologist watches enough of that for all of us!!

When home, I like to watch NBC in the morning. Other than this, I listen to the radio.

I read the newspaper every morning on my way to work on the commuter bus. I catch the 6:00 news during supper and I check the weather channel every morning while exercising and before having breakfast.

I watch the early morning local news, and if I can stay awake, the national morning news. But then its the mid-day news on local TV. I have the weather bug on my computer, so it will alert me to bad weather, and the current temp is on my computer system tray, when the computer is on. I can't watch the 6:00pm news or the 10:00pm news as I'm at work.

We like to watch the 5:00 news on Fox, I also read the paper - but do not like getting my international news from there. I also listen to talk radio.

If I do watch the news it is Fox, but I don't do it often. I do listen to talk radio and I feel like I have been kept up pretty much by those characters.

I always watch the weather, since I work outside, I want to be prepared for whatever mother nature is gonna throw at me for that day. At nite I watch Fox News

I have the Weather Channel posted in my task bar, as a matter of fact, I just heard a crack of thunder through the speakers. I scares the shit out of me everytime. Its trying to tell me that it's going to rain here. I like the fact that it has a Doppler Radar screen that I can look at with the map on it. I can see just where it's raining and the direction it's moving in. Plus I get golfing conditions, boating news, Sox scores, and the current temperatures... As far as local news, It's all bad, and the local newspaper is nothing but a rag. To read it from end to end will even put a coke addict to sleep. I think the last time I picked up the local rag, the big story was about a cow that slipped in the mud and broke a hoove...

I sort of do the gossip on the street corner. I do not have a television set and do not listen to mainstream news outlets.
I learn from newspapers, and from discussions what is going on in the world.
