Birds of a feather....
How diverse do you consider your social cirlce to be?
Do your friends range from bankers to bikers?
Do you enjoy G-rated, hoity toity type of activities with uppercrust as much you do just slummin' with some of your more R-rated down to earth buds?

Re: Birds of a feather....
I have friends from all walks of life!.......All over the world!......And each and every one of them have become my friend because of the fact that they are unique.......Because I am open to many things it has allowed me to learn a lot about others, yet most importantly a lot about myself!.......Every single one of the people I consider friends have brought something special to my life.....

Re: Birds of a feather....
NYK, as usual you "hit the nail on the head"! I don't care if you are the janitor or the CEO I can learn something from you and something about me in the process. The most interesting person I ever met was a Buddhist monk in Thailand. He spoke 9 languages fluently and was much better read than I ever will be. We sat and talked for hours about anything and everything during my assignment in NE Thailand.

Re: Birds of a feather....
Well yeah, of course I find people of all kinds and all walks of life very much worth knowing...but there are times when I'm ready to leave the cocktail hour, kick off the heels, and slip into somethin' sloppy, and on the other end of things, I can also look forward and welcome the chance to dress up and act all proper like a real lady!

Re: Birds of a feather....
Most of the people we deal with are the down to earth people that would give ya the shirt off your back...which is why we don't solicalize much. We deal with everyone from drunks to scientists, but when it comes to hanging out we prefer the salt of the earth.

Re: Birds of a feather....
I get along with everyone, most of the people I hang out with are nurses or from the hospital, but that is because they are the kind of people who understand if I call and say - "running late, you won't believe what just walked into the ER" and not get upset. I have enjoyed meeting all of you who are on my weirdo schedule and understand when I have to run, but are here for a night chat when we can.

Re: Birds of a feather....
I am one of those girls that can go from 4-wheelin' to a formal dinner in the matter of about 45 minutes and by the end of the evening think - "I've had one hell of a day!!" I have friends in low places and friends that have been blessed with "the perfect life" and I love them all!

Re: Birds of a feather....
I know all sorts of people from high places to low places. I am one of those that gets along with almost anyone, its just those 'anyones' don't necessarily like all the people I acknowledge. So.. yeah, not everyone I know likes everyone I know if that makes sense.

Re: Birds of a feather....
It doesn't matter to me, as long as they treat me with some respect, I will treat them likewise. If they try to act like they are about 4 levels above me because they have more money or whatever, I'll either walk away from them or kick their ass, depending on my mood
