Your Ultimate Favorite...
Classy Car
What car is your favorite? I was out today, and almost had heart failure. I saw my car, it was a 1967 cherry red Mustang. That car is the Bomb!!!

I owned a '69 SHELBY GT 500 from '71 'til '73. It was light green with white interior. I panicked when the price of gas started to go up so I sold it for, forgive me, $3500!!! I then bought a 73 Dodge Charger. I know, I fucked up big time!!!!!!!

hmmm, I had a 1998 cherry red mustang convertible - wow I loved that car. Had to give it up when I got pregnant with my son, so I passed it down to my daughter who promptly totaled it!

Re: Your Ultimate Favorite...
I wish I had a car I helped a friend restore...a '40 Ford 5 window coupe. We stripped it to the frame and basically started over. Old flathead V-8 would run 70 mph comfortably all day long. We put 12 coats of battleship gray lacquer on it a 3 coats of clear lacquer on top of that, Paint looked a foot thick! Only modernization was 12 volt ignition/starter and hydraulic brakes. The radio was AM only and took over a minute to warm up but sounded great. Driving it anywhere was such fun with people in other cars honking and waving to us almost continuously.

Re: Your Ultimate Favorite...
In the mid to late 1970's I had a 1935 Chevrolet Master Deluxe 2 door sedan with suicide doors. I had been customized. I sold it in order to have enough money to put a payment down on a house.
I have always wanted to own a Duesenberg, Pierce Arrow or a Bentley. I have a passion antique vehicles. The ones I own now are not even close to being antique a 1998 Grande Am and 2006 Escape.
Maybe if one or two of my songs makes it big I might be able to afford an antique again.

I remember seeing the PANTERA in a LINCOLN-MERCURY dealership around 1971. The price was $9999.00. It was real hot lookin'. I think they stopped manufacturing that cat about 1975.

That's were the Pantera got its start at Ford. I still have the ad for it from the Ford magazine, and the list price for a 1971 was like $13079 and they were yellow. But I did see one in a magazine a few years ago and it was pretty new. I don't know who was making it. I think the magazine was hot rod, but not sure about that either.

Re: Your Ultimate Favorite...
Hell, a '69 shelby mustang GT500, which I owned for two years, in good condition, is bringing in around $45,000. If it's had a ground up restoration and low miles, your lookin' at $75000 to $125,000. Did I f**k up or what?????

I just saw a 49 Cadillac - or at least I think it was a 49 Caddy. It was special.
I love the old packards. They just reek of luxury and space.
