There's a alien in my pc
I know there are several of you that must think by now I don't want to talk to you in the chat room. The truth is I've went to the chat room & it lets me in the room, but the space where you type your message is below my toolbar so I can't type in it. So as much as I want to talk to ya, I can't. Guess it's time to overhaul my pc.When I get it working believe me you'll wish I'd never got it fixed. Sorry Tica, I know you've said hello to me in there & I was trying to answer ya but that damn alien won't let me.

Re: There's a alien in my pc
It's called a gremlin and I think we all got 'em But I think it may not be your puter. I know someone that couldn't even get into the room the past couple of days. A lot of people have been gettin' booted out every few minutes. A glitch in the system? I don't know. Not a major problem, though. The forums are still here

no.. and its just a little bell you attach to your motorcycle.. one of those superstitious things. dont know the whole history but I'd guess it goes back to the WW generation on those old bikes after the war etc.... the bell traps the gremlins that cause mechanical failures and deposits them to the road... which in return makes a pot hole where it fell. no wonder SD has such shitty roads..... damn Sturgis and its tourist. LMAO

Re: There's a alien in my pc
a quick search said it better than I....
Legend has it that Evil Road Spirits have been latching themselves to motorcycles for as long as there have been bikes on the road. These Evil Road Spirits are responsible for mechanical problems and bad luck along a journey.
Legend goes on to say that by attaching a small bell onto your bike, the Evil Road Spirits will become trapped inside the bell where the constant ringing drives them insane, making them lose their grip until they fall to the ground. (Ever wonder where pot-holes come from?)
Legend also has it that the mystery of the Guardian Bell carries twice as much power when it is purchased by a friend or loved one and given as a gift. Show someone how much you care. Offer them defense against the Evil Road Spirit.
Give a Guardian Bell and share the Legend of Good Luck it offers to a motorcycle and its rider!

Re: There's a alien in my pc
If yours was any thing like mine, you might try hiding from them... Here's a question for you, "Is your above toolbar thicker than an inch"? If so, try this;
Click: View, Toolbars, then scan over to the arrow. All you really need is the Navigation Toolbar, the others are extras. If they are checked off, click on them and see if that doesn't fix your problem. You can always go back and re-add them if you want them back...
Another thing you might try is; Changing your screen resolution.
Click: Start menu, Control Panel, Display, at the top of this window, click on the, "Settings Tab". Most computers' defaults are set to 800 X 600 pixels. Try the next step up (1024 X 768 pixels) This will shrink your screen down a bit, makes it easier to view more of the pages...

I'll see if that fixes things, otherwise I'm looking for someone to do a exorsism on my pc.

Don't worry, just remember this: It takes a human to make a mistake... it takes a computer to completely f**k up
