Why bother
After five very long years, i finially hadthe chance to take a real vacation. I enjoyed seeing NYC, Washington DC and visiting my friend in MT very much.
However, I discovered this morning that someone had "skimmed" my debit card and used it to buy something worth over $2500.
While this is still being investigated, I have made a decision.
I am not only selling the truck, but am returning to my drunken ways of years ago. I can get a job anywhere to survive.
This is not the first time this has happened and only proves that trying to make a good living is not really worth it.

Identity theft of any sort fuckn'n sucks, i just went through this with my Dad's credit card very recently, over 3000k on it. I spoke to the credit card company, they sent the dicklaimers documents to fill out and sign, and all is well now with the credit card company, and also voided out the account and was sent totally new cards/account, etc. The funny thing about it is... my Dad doesn't leave the house much at all, and these charges were coming from Texas, like yeah, Dad is in Texas, hmmmmmmm? Another thing is most credit card companies will do is give you a call when they see suspicious, abnormal activity from your account, for safety protection.

its looking more and more like the "protection service" that some cards offer is worth it.

a couple of months ago, i had the same thing happen to me. i got on the phone with my bank and the vendor and a few days later everything was resolved. so do what needs to be done in a way that you can still look at yourself in the mirror and keep your dignity.
