You Got Mail!
OK, I know some of us spend quality time writing messages....And some of us will write the first thing that rolls off the tip of our tongue......
How much thought and time do you put into your messages......Do you go into detail, or just write them fast just to make sure you do it.....
Although I will try to respond to all my mail, I have gotten some that just make me chuckle and wonder?.....

I try to compose mine with some sort of intelligence. Most of the time I make no reference to sex at all. If I'm sending to a new person, I will let them know that they have a nice pic. But most of the time is spent responding to those types of messages that you describe.

I browse profiles for all kinds of reasons, and I read the entire profile and look at photos if they are available, and in the course of things, if I notice something in the background of their photos or something they mention in their ad text, a spontaneous note will follow! Which is why I'm so preachy preachy about putting allot effort into your profiles and uploading interesting photos!! Even if you are seeking NSA, the more info you have, the more interest your profile has, the more interest others will show in it.
I also read all the profiles of anyone who writes me, for one, if your profile violates abs rules, you will not get a reply...and I check the profiles for those bits of info that help me start and carry on a conversation.

well no one has ever asked me for x rated pictures to jerk to? Or have they....I don't get half of the messages that you all get but I do try and reply to all of them.

I get the usual messages, like.....get me off now!! and...I wanna do "this" to your "that"....
I find these difficult to reply to when they come from a complete stranger, I do check their profile and try to glean something there I can use to give them a reply, if I can't find something there, then I just delete...I do read every message to see if someone is asking a question or needs any help..

this was a good post....
if read, it can give people an idea into what kind of emails people like to recieve and ways to write those emails.
i would encourage you all to give examples of the kind you don't like or want - and those you enjoy reading and recieving....

I enjoy reading mail that indicates someone has taken an interest in reading my/our profile. It does tend t irritate when someone automatically thinks that I am looking for NSA or wants me to meet them for some "on the side" when my profile clearly indicates that we play together. I will reply to one that I find funny or just grabs me. It varies as to what will grab me,, just according to my mood.

yeah, i get those irritating emails too, like pepper, from ppl who think that i'm into one-on-ones and i will just drop anything for them. they don't put much thought into it and i think that's what irritates me. it's obnoxious and i won't even bother replying to those arrogant bastards! on the other hand, i have received some really nice and caring emails from my "family" here at wn who show genuine concern for my health and where i'm at physically and mentally. thanks to all of you!

Do the men on this site even get mail?
I'm not sure if the women realize how different the experience of WN is for the guys -- or at least this guy. I'm having fun on the site, and I've met some great people. But in most cases I've had to put a lot of thought into crafting a personized message just to get a reply from a woman. And in most cases I still get nothing -- not even a peek at my profile. (So it's not like they look at then say, "Yuck!"  My outbox is filled with 12 pages of sent messages, the vast majority of which have brought silence in reply.
Again, I'm not complaining -- just sharing.

I have agree with intensely my in box isn't over flowing with e-mails I do get some. I usually write to comment on photos or I've asked a question but for me this is a place to meet new friends and have fun I'd have to think the available to available women on here is like ten to one or even larger, but hey it's a growing site

I rarely get e-mail at all. I usually don't even get replies to my e-mails sent. Not that I'm sending anything really out there just the normal how are you, do you like to chat.....etc etc. I just write it off as my pic scared them

I was one of them that would say what my hands just typed out or say whatever it was that was just not even being thought of prior to it being said. Just learned to slow down and think of how they would take it if i said this or that, and/or how i said it. I try to choose my words wisely nowadays.
Then again, if its someone i've never talked to before, etc.. then you're on your own, take it or leave it on what i say.

But if thats all your going to write me, then I would have to assume that one likes them because they are one!....I guess I just expect to get a little more that that!.....After all when your flooded with mail......That's not the one person I would pick to be with.....This is a sex site, and more power to you, however its not Hookers R Us you know what I mean........Just because we are behind a computer doesn't mean we should be treated any differently than you would treat us in person!......
