Total post count..
Since the subject has come up a few times lately....how often do you check yours or check others? Is checking total post count a time-killer or does it mean something to you, and what does it mean? Do you deliberately try to pass others in post count or try to stay ahead of others?
Oh yes, this thread can also a time killer....

Ha! I learned way late that the "total post count" even existed !
It's on the top bar, click "member's list"...
by the way, I will mention that on SOME OTHER SITES, total post count might get you some type of "rank" or status type of reward....NO SUCH THINK ON THIS SITE!

Post count amounts mean nothing to us. If we find something that interests us, or we can respond to (without pissing to many people off! LOL), then we post.....
Sure, I could post in most every post with a smiley, and get my count WAY up there.....but frankly those little boogers irratate me when they dont come with some actual words!

I hate to think that I ever unknowingly offended anyone by passing their post count, when I started posting here, I was brand new at the whole experience...I had gotten married, moved, and ended up with a pathetic and isolated life. I was in the beginnig, oblivious of things like total post count, hijacking, and forum ettiquette.
I posted because I was desperate for social interactions to help replace my large circle of friends that I no longer had in my new life.....I didn't, and still don't have the luxury of traveling, so...the internet helped filled a new void I found myself with...

The one thing I like about WN is that you CANNOT see someone's total post count... on other forums, this number is the nr.1 reason for HUGE misunderstandings, especially when a noob joins. It's like members have to respect other members that have the biggest number of posts. I completely disagree with that. SAY NO TO POST COUNT!!! lol

Sure you do....I like the idea of a "women who love sports" thread, one that ALL women would feel comfortable posting in, it would be really cool to hear how "sporty" WN women are!
All kinds of sports, from Superbowls and World series teams they support, to thier own weekend warrior preferences like fishing, hiking, etc.....
We all know Pepper's love of Nascar, so maybe you wanna post another thread that will ask the same question to all women here?

There's a "search forums" feature...but allot of the old threads unfortunately have been hijacked beyond the point of no return, so new threads on these topics are a good thing,
Many of us that have been here a long time, do tire of posting replies to the same questions, but we still enjoy very much, reading the newer members replies to these posts!

Ahh! The porn star thing, or porn name thread? I wasn't smackin' you down about it, when I mention older threads, I only mention them because I think they may also be of interest to the thread poster and the people that reply because they are SIMILIAR topics!
I sincerely feel what I wrote before, some of us who have been here quite a while, do tire of answering something we have already answered several times before, but we still enjoy reading newer members replies to these questions and post, we really do enjoy that very much.
Most of the old threads have been hijacked into uselessness anyway, so no...I don't have any problems with, or complaints about repeat thread topics. As the site gets bigger, the more it's gonna happen..no problem!
Sorry for the misunderstanding!
