Resume writing...
Anyone an ace with this? I could use a little help with a resume, don't have allot of recent work history to go on and I'm not looking to embellish or commit fraud here, just want to make the most of what I do have to work with.

Re: Resume writing...
Ah! Okay, now I know whatcah mean...but here's the thing, I really don't have any work history with an employer, not in the past 7 years or so...I'm want to write up a resume based on my ebay history, and being a museum donor to focus on a job with a antique mall, doing floor clerk work and/or running thier online auctions.
There's one museum I have donated to frequently, and have helped identify items for, and my 5 years ebay experience is all I got to go on.
I just need these to emphasis these two "work history" entries cuz it's all I got and they are relevant to my specific job search,
I need to mail one out this morning to answer an ad in the job classifieds, and just having a little trouble getting started...

Re: Resume writing...
well with mine, i focused on what i know i could do, and made referances to times when it was put to effective use, incase they wanted to follow up and check to see if it is true. the best cv's are very brief, but also very describtive.it will also help if you have a character referance that they can contact, it can be anyone that knows that you have the skills, or have witnessed the skills and qulifications that you state in your cv. if you are still in doubt, there are lots of examples on the net, that you can use as a guideline. hope this was helpfull

Re: Resume writing...
Ha, there is a book out there called "Resumes for Dummies" and it has loads of ideas and sample resumes. I think you can check it out for free at your local library. Its an older book but the same rules apply. Good luck with the job search!

Re: Resume writing...
Got the resume done, just need to list a few references...finding a job in this area is tough, very rural, small towns, and of course, most jobs require that you to be related to someone!
