The worst holiday gift you've ever received?
Whether a birthday, aniversary, or other gift. What was the lamest gift you ever received?
For me, it was a birthday gift from a girlfriend. A used book with a damaged binding where the library sticker was torn off. I found a stamp inside saying "Property of the Eugene Public Library"
A runner up is... of course, the dreaded fruit cake. I use it as a doorstop now.

First thing that comes to mind: My birthday is in April, spring time right, warmer temps. My X gives me a sweater,, that's it! It was obvious she had found it at a winter clearance sale. Oh, by the way, it was my 50th.

my aunt laura. her holiday packages were awaited with great trepidation (paid $25 for that word). she sent a oil painting the size of a sofa. she painted it herself. it was of a covered wagon going across the prarie. the wagon was about 1-2 inches tall.

when I was a tiny girl, my favorite uncle, who pretty much raised me, bought me the most gawdy, purple and yellow bycicle, horns,bells, whistles, bright long streamer flowing from the handle grips, a large white wicker basket on the front adorned with huge purple,orange and yellow plastic flowers, I thought it had to be the ugliest thing I would ever see, but that look on his face, he was so excited and proud to have given me this christmas gift, I got on and rode it without a second thought .

think i had the same one, did it weigh a ton with solid rubber tires?

that's it!! of course i had to try make it a little more manly so i ditched the basket and swapped in a longer ten speed fork with a scooter tire for a chopper look..... guess i've always been a biker at heart.
