favorite old movie
artful's post in the sexual healing thread brought this to mind.
what is your favorite old movie-say before 1960. please give a short discription-no spoilers, please.
one of mine is "the night of the hunter" with lillian gish.
a man robs a bank, gets caught and hung. but the money is still missing. his cell mate (a self proclaimed preacher) tries to find the money. one of the creepiest movies i ever saw.

yeah, robert mitchum with love and hate tatooed on his knuckles, disturbing for sure.
what genre are you looking for here.
for creepiness look up 'M' starring peter lorre its a foreign film with subtitles but its time that stopped being a barrier,
and trust me you will be rattled every time you hear that tune whistled!!
