Off the rack...
Slave to fashion or stuck in another decade?
Are you still wearing flashdance sweatshirts and big hair, or maybe you're all about the bandanas, lynard skynard t-shirts, and long hair?
Do you follow the currnet trends, or stick with what you know and love?
Do you make a bold effort with lots of colors, accessories or is simplifying your life more of a priority?
Do you have a natural flair, or is shopping for clothes and trying for a pulled together look just allot of work?

Re: Off the rack...
Usually wear t-shrts and jeans. Or jeans and a button up shirt. (pssst) I only bye jeans from TSC. They fit very well, are inexpensive and even mide in the US!!!
Slave to fashion?? Nope, but it is fun staying at a Hyatt or Ramada when on the road. REaly like the stares from "business" men

Re: Off the rack...
You've opened up a HUGE can of worms with this one, chaz
Yes, I have several lynyrd skynyrd shirts and I wear them often! CSN, Eagles...... I still wear my Boston t-shirt from the Texas Jam '87! I also have a few tie dye shirts hangin' around.
When I'm not wearin' those, I usually wear earthy tones... browns, greys, etc......
I've never been a slave to fashion. I am who I am. If ya' don't like what I'm wearin', tough titty! Look the other way!

Re: Off the rack...
I love my overalls, with thermo white shirts in the winter, and a tank top during the warmer seasons...my husband hates them and will burn them if he gets the chance. I wear them till the straps have to be saftey pinned. they are full of holes, frayed on all edges and most of the side buttons are missing.
No one from here would easily recognize me if you bumped into me at the market or out and about...with a large yard, two story house, a bunch of animals to care for, and a daily chore list a mile long, comfortable baggy clothes are just practical.

The most recent photo I have posted is from last year, but they're all taken since I've joined the site, haven't taken any this year..
...and you're right, some people might recognize me in spite of the baggy overalls, house paint on my cheek, garden dirt on my feet and my unbrushed hair pulled up in a hurry with a faded ole scrunchy.

Re: Off the rack...
For me its a pair of blue jeans and t-shirt. Only have one pair left that I can get into. I've packed some extra pounds on. Still have a suite that works, but only for formal occassions. I really like the fashions from the 70's and today. Those low rise pants, and low cut shirts are so sexy on women. I try to let MA keep up the current stuff, but some of it just doesn't work for her. Although, there nothing wrong with the birthday suit. So ya see, we're always dressed in a suit.

Re: Off the rack...
I only dress like I want on weekends or on vacation. At work I have to wear shirts, ties and all that stuff which I hate. On weekends it's jeans and t-shirts for the summer, and nice warm big sweaters for the winter.

Re: Off the rack...
I know it's so 80's, but nothing is as comfortable as a worn, cut up sweatshirt.

Re: Off the rack...
I'm a tee-shirt and jeans kind of girl. A lot of my clothes are mainly Harley brands. Otherwise I do have Lucky, Bke, and... i think thats about it. I try to keep up with the trend but it gets to be too much money after awhile so I just stick with what I think is cute. If I run out of clean clothes.. I get 'stuck' wearing my nicer clothes. I'm more about being comfortable and somewhat looking cute (cheesy, I know) in a way, but that's about it. Thinking about it, all my cuter clothes are for the cold season.

Re: Off the rack...
I am soooo about the comfort! I use to be a real prissy ass, all the right shoes and accesories to go with everything, a bit of jewelry, did my hair a hundred different ways. Now it's everyday clothes for doing everyday chores...

Re: Off the rack...
During the week I'm in painters shorts, Muscle shirt, and steel toed shoes. Same as everyone else at work. My sister said she needs to make me dress more like a girl. (no buying mens clothes. Work clothes). On weekends i can put on the more of the girlie clothes. I like some of the clothes out but like pa said they don't like me.

Re: Off the rack...
Some fashion trends have been around too long now...I don't much care for men wearing their boxers way up, and their pants hanging off the top of thier thighs, It's kinda cute when the boxers show a little, but the extreme is not cute at all, and anytime men wanna go back to wearing nice fitting pants that outline their asses, that'll be fine with me.
