It's no fun being me,
though you might think it is;
life zooms right past,
a laugh & a blast;
and there's no serious biz.
though you may like me as me,
10 minutes at a go;
a bit of wit,
no serious sh*t;
it sounds just great, but no!
Because you can't get too close,
I'm too dumb for that craic;
you do you best,
though I'm impressed;
I'll try to push you back.
It only takes a word for me,
to crash all your hard work;
we're having fun,
you're almost done;
then I have to act a jerk.
I can't even say I'm sorry,
like anyone else could;
but a stupid rhyme,
I hope in time;
will say what I should.
You're far too good a person,
to take that crap from me;
but understand,
I'm a flawed man;
but I'll try my best for thee.
Yeah, it's a bit shit & cheesy, isn't it?
but when a man like me meets a lady he likes he's often reduced to crappy cheese... still I can but try.

i hear ya. Sometimes you gotta hit a few bumps (not that you or anyone intends to do it) in life to realize whats happened. Like just said, it takes time.
