Who said those words that make you feel it?
Anybody got any song lyric, or part of a line, that just absolutly "does" it for you? takes your breathe away? goose bumps? makes you want to salute something...
What is it? what does it stir inside you?
( I'll tell you mine if I get any replies...) I'm curious as to what turns folks screws...

I am NOT a guns'n roses fan at all, but I always thought that the lyrics to "Sweet Child of Mine" about her
hair being a soft warm place to hide, while the thunder and the lightening pass us by....an exceptional piece of writing.

I am an Eagles' fan and one song by them that does it for me, that some days just seem to say everything I am feeling...

Sometimes, they just hit the nail square on the head.
there is also one by Darrel Worley, that says it for me in regard to 9/11. I am not starting anything political, lol, just stating what makes me, shiver, tear up, think and be thankful or gives me a way to get angry about something, without putting it out there for all to see.

You know...I don't really love them either, but, I have always thought that about that line, too...
That's pretty cool, because I was actually thinking of that line from "Sweet child" when I wrote this post, and the other one was from The Butthole Surfers, in probably their only song in history that ever enjoyed any radio airplay, The chorus makes me shiver: "I don't mind the sun sometimes, the images it shows. I can taste you on my lips and smell you in my clothes...cinnamon and sugary, and softly spoken lies, you never know just how ya' look, through other people's eyes" Probably not a word for word quote, but...you get the idea... Always makes me think of high school, and my first real girl friend. I can still remember smelling her perfume in my jacket, the day after she borrowed it and brought it back to me. I miss those days, that level of infatuation...where one person could be EVERYTHING. before you learned that you COULD actually live without them. That kind of total, desperate obsession...unhealthy? yeah, probably...but, it was an awesome feeling.

ryan is fluent in german. he says these things to me in german.... i have no idea what they are (i really need to learn german.. lol..) but they sound gorgeous, and my knees buckle everytime he starts...
