Has the Nasty weather taken Chazzy away
I see on the weather channel that there has been some nasty weather in Chazzy's neck of the woods, & since I'm not here much. did a tornado swoop our Chazzy away?

I hope everyone is being safe with the very hot and sometimes violent weather.

I'm fine, I am about 45 minutes away from the devastated area.
The first storm was such a freak thing, hit sudden, 90+ mph winds blew down some buildings, knocked train cars off the tracks, uprooted and snapped in half some huge trees.
So many are facing another day with out power, forced to throw away the food they have no way of storing, and as the heat and humidity began to climb again this week, people succumbing to heat stroke and heat exhaustion is a strong and scary possibility.
The people I know in this affected area are doing alright, they do expect to see the electric back on sometime this week, and are able to keep themselves feed after having to loose their frig and freezer food supplies.
There's emergency food and water being supplied as much as possible, and more cooling stations open up every day.
Thank you to the nine states that have sent us a total of 3600 of their own electric workers to help get the power up and running.

I do have a basement, and as soon as I get that mountain of laundry down there caught up, there will be room enough for me to ride out any storm.

100,000 still without power, the food pantries are alarmingly low from the need of replacement food for those who had to throw theirs away. It's scarey to see the predicted heat and humidity forcast knowing how many are without electric still.
Another man lost due to electrocution from downed power lines.
For the most part, the city is as it always was in most places, but then there those areas that are still devasted.

I am happy you are ok and hope you will get some free time and then come by? It has been ver, very hot in the uk as well. Though not as where you are. Glad you are ok, at least physically.

It's severe storm and tornado season here, you learn to live with the threat, as I'm sure Pepper can tell you the same about her hurricane seasons.
All you can do is make sure you have a safe plan, a safe shelter, and supplies just in case the power is out for a week or longer, or it takes them at least that long to dig you out of the rubble!
