Music or song....
What music or song do you enjoy hearing while making love? And no easy answers like.... "I don't care what's on the damn stereo as long as I am making love!"
My answer would probably be Clapton. Either his acoustic stuff or even back to the early stuff, just gets into me.

who is johnny winter? only the greatest guitar player in the known space. he is who clapton wanted to be when he grew up.
johnny played rock until the heroin caught up with him. then he spent a year in the mental hospital. after that he said screw this, i'm playing what i want and went back to the blues. he has been nominated twice for grammys. he played at woodstock. he is about 5'10", 135 lbs, cross-eyed, and albino. with lots of tattoos.
he played at my uncle's bar when i was a kid. he was probably 17 or 18. played cajun music.
the greatest guitar solo in the history of rock and roll is on the album "captured live", on the song "it's all over now."
his younger brother is edgar winter-"frankenstien" and "free ride"
"a short course on johny winter." check out the internet.
tinsley ellis is a blues guitarist out of atlanta. he should be better known than he is. i do know he has a masters in history from emory university. if it weren't for johnny being my first love, i would say he's better. he can make the guitar do anything.
the cd's i would suggest are johnny winter-captured live, let me in or guitar slinger.
tinsley ellis-kingpin, hell or high water or fanning the flames.
you hit my obsession, blues. but, i am entirely innocent of any musical ability whatever.
i heard poppa chubby on the radio one night. in more civilized parts of the world they have radio stations that play the blues. here we get it for 4 hours on npr.
i better stop, cause i can go on and on for hours

i just never got over the "clapton is God" thing.
besides, by the time i even heard of eric clapton, i was already fixated on johnny winter.
just don't mention bob dylan and we can still be friends.

Oh yes, I know of Klaatu, UFO, Legs Diamond, Budgie,...
Let me see what I can remeber about that band ...I believe that Klaatu is a type of mushroom or it means mushroom in some language.
There was a stupid rumour that Klaatu was actually the Beatles incognito. And the only song title I can recall is "Anus from Uranus"

just to clear up a grey area about klaatu.
they wrote 'calling occupants' and the carpenters covered it.
klaatu was the name of the robot alien in the classic 50's movie 'the day the world stood still.
sir bodsworth rugglesby 111 was track 7.
hanus your anus track 3.
not sure here but i think ringo starr had a similar sleeve cover on one of his singles and thats why the beetles connection was rumoured.

no problem re contradicting, would always prefer to set the record straight. it was the 70s and my memory has gone rusty since then anyhow. never had the album just remember the fuss over it at the time.
you got me on gort though, didnt remember that.
and i aim too track down chazzy mushroom theory, something in that.

Bawbie,You must have a great music collection. I still have a box of the old 33 1/3s. Johnny Winter was a terrific guitar player, didn't he play a Gibson Firebird? I saw Johnny and Egar Winter, had great seats. That was looong time ago, my memory is kinda fuzzy, wonder why?
Thanks for the memory.
My choice for mood music would have to include Santanna. Something about the latin beat and Carlos's guitar just does it for me. The Abbaxas album is a classic!

I love listeneing to alternative no matter what I"m doing. I like listening to music I've never heard before. blink182, new found glory, limp bizcut, eminem .....
