Re: "QUOTE OF THE DAY"
I myself am very much into the wearing of the kilt. And I wear it regimental(no underwear) unless i'm participating in the highland games. I love wearing it out to parties and such, Girls love it, it sets me apart from the other guys there, shows confidence, makes me a little more interesting to them. Thats how I got my last GF, met her at a party while i was wearing my kilt.

I am a mutt, or Neapolitan, some call goulash, Scotch, Dutch, English, Irish, Norwegian, German, and Obnoxious, is there a kilt that would work for that?
Mostly Norwegian...Or Obnoxious, I think

Best is to forget about the kilt. Just wear 2 wooden shoes and you will get all the attention you want.

Re: "QUOTE OF THE DAY"
appreciate it tamedame, I love my heritage and hope to continue learning about it.
Grandelf if you've got some of the blood in you no one is going to argue against wearing the kilt. Even the Irish have developed some kilts and tartans for their use. There are venues for kilt wearers all over america, Scottish Highland games and renaissance fairs are two of the most common ones, they're fun to check out even if you dont wear a kilt. There is also a great book called "So you're going to wear the kilt?" and now i'm rambling, I get excited about my heritage.
Lets end with a quote so we're not too off topic.
"The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it."
Oscar Wilde

Re: "QUOTE OF THE DAY"
True scotsman, evil or otherwise, Irish kilts don't count. Only the true Scots can lay claim to the kilt. What 'clan' are you descended from.

Re: "QUOTE OF THE DAY"
I go to the games with Clan Hay, I can also trace back to McDonald of the Isles, Kerr, and Mckay. And even tho I have a lot of Irish blood in me, I do agree that the kilts are for the scots. but i dont judge an irishman for wearing one.

Its the clan of the Lord High Constable of Scotland.
"The office became hereditary in the 12th Century and was held by the Comyn family, but they ended up on the wrong side in the Wars of Scottish Independence. Since then it has been held by the Hays of Erroll, later Earls of Erroll. The first was Gilbert Hay, who was given the office by Robert the Bruce, followed by David Hay."-Wikipedia

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't!! Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it........
