$20000 worth of new fencing and gates do not make a difference when the kennelman forgets to latch the master gate. oops.
Fortunately most of them will come home by nightfall and the others... well, we'll find them.

How about...go to pet store, get some cute furry floppy eared bunnies, turn 'em loose, cup hand to ear and wait for that very distinctive beagle yelp and howl?
It would be better to use a tree climbing critter, beagles do love to tree things, but I don't think pet stores carry raccoons and opossums...

Our beagles are a cottontail hunting pack. It might be rather ugly to let a store-bought out-of-shape rabbit loose in their vicinity. They are trained to ignore 'coon and other animals.

Re: Virginia Dyke - seeks small furry animals for unspecified activity
Sheesh! Do I have to write a narrative? Ok...
...the howling grew closer, she turned and ran faster toward the safety of the trees. How were they finding her? They couldn't see any better than she in the dark, yet her pursuers seemed to be closing.
"To the left," the leader said, sniffing the air. The pack of women turned left and fanned out. Their cries penetrated the forest, pre- orgasmic screeches, the noise of hungry lesbians on the prowl. Their quarry, Miss October 2005, would not remain free long and when they caught her... well, they didn't talk about that.

All animals recovered. Took a while to find one dog hound, but he started howling in the late evening and they found him digging at a groundhog hole, apparently he put a rabbit to ground.

I'm just happy to know you got them back now.
I don't care where you live, what state, what country, one thing seems certain...all lost and stray animals will eventually end up at my door step.

I'm been wondering for hours now and I'm getting tired. OH there's a nice place, Chazzy is the name on the front. I just know she will cuddle me, pet me, and in general just let me be her new toy. I'm such a happy puppy now.
