I have always had very poor eyesight too, capt. Since birth, my uncorrected vision leaves me in the legally blind catagory, but luckily, my corrected vision allows me to fucntion very well...Do you have your browser settings on "large text"?

DO YOU FIND IT ANNOYING WHEN YOU TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE SOMETHING IN THE FORUM AND NO ONE BOTHERS TO GIVE ANY KIND OF COMMENT ON IT.
I've found that this does happen, but then, one day, someone comes along, reads it, gives the perfect reply, bumps it back up and the thread takes off like crazy!
We could go through, and make sure every thread has a reply, but it just wouldn't work out as well... these things seem to have their own "rhythm".
If something is posted, and the current forum people have have been members awhile, they may have already answered similar questions posted before, don't want to repeat themselves again and will pass up a thread for that reason.
Topics like "favorite positions" "would you do a virgin" etc, get posted allot, and for some who have been here a year or two, they tire of answering those questions, and we'll leave it for the newer members, we may not post there, but we are always happy to read new replies from new members on old questions. There's always room for everyone here.
It just depends on who the forum visitors are, what they find interesting, and what they are looking for.
I've seen many a thread with no replies fall to the back pages, then suddenly pop up again with a burst of life.

Do You
No I do not, internet forums are active places and not every comment must be responded to in order to have value. It is from our own insecurity that we expect each of our comments to be quoted and expounded upon.

Re: DO YOU
I have noticed that it takes some time for people to respond to a post on here.
Guess the important thing is that someone responds.
Eventually

Re: Do you
Absolutely......I rarely expect others to respond and probably expect I offend many but when one does. respond..It's nice....Go from there....You have a friend to chat with then thus, the purpose of chatting...To find that one person who thinks as you do...
Have fun!

Re: Do you
I think some of us think, or at least go through a phase, where we just believe it's just good manners to reply to a thread that has no reply, but I have learned the very thing I mentioned before...forums do have a life of their own, and no thread really dies...

Re: Do you
the forums provide a format to become more knowledgeable about other members and ponder alternative thinking..
i agree with kbateman: not every thought needs to be responded to to have value..maybe the thread just promotes some introspection or is thougth provoking in and by itself..

Re: Do you
I have seen on some other website messages boards, an additional column that shows how many times a thread was viewed right along side the column that shows how many times a thread was replied to.
The view column count is always way higher than the reply column.
I would imagine that this count difference would be very wide in forums like "Naughty Jokes" and "Writer's Corner".
Even though a topic or post shows no or few replies, I can assure you that they are being read and enjoyed by many.
