Ever wonder
If a thread is started with a post, do the rest of he posts support the thread like a fence?
Or---- If no more posts are added, will it fall over?

The only threads that ever die, are those that because of some violation of abs rules, they get deleted....other than that....threads never die!!
I'm always pleasantly surprised and happy to see a thread from page 58 or another back page pop up again, it tells me that people enjoy READING the forum as much as they enjoy posting in it!
The only other way a thread can run the risk of dying, is if it's hijacked, and the original topic is lost under pages of personal chat and/or flirting by a few people.
We've all been guilty of that, I know!

Re: Ever wonder
I would say that a thread never really dies unles it's deleted but, I have seen threads get taken over by two or even 3 members and change the whole theme of the thread. So, basically, threads are designed to stimulate conversation and even if the topic gets forgotten, you accomplished the goal...
Helps?
