Because life's too short to take it seriously
I dislike cats.
The cat sat on my window, its tail was filled with woe,
Remained there for 5 minutes, and off then did it go.
Its friends around the corner or a canine giving chase,
It seemed to up and leave away, to where I do not know.
A spaceship filled with chocolate men, lands upon the road,
Winter campaign went quite well, Invading my abode.
Come summer though they'll melt away leaving not a trace,
And chocolate toffee caramel stains is all that can be showed.
We'll eat them with a knife and fork, the cat can just drink milk,
and make them into garments, their skin is cocoa silk.
The cat must see this coming, I suspect that its a spy,
So it sits there on my window, how I wish that it would die.

This Rain
A cloud, innocent, lets go its rain
No harm meant, apology inevident
Still nothing hides immune
In time all that stands washed away.
No armour, no defences can protect
Its nature leaves no shelter
Irrelevant praise by a poet's pen
Makes this storm pass slowly.
A look to the sky answers nothing,
Words cannot express the questions
Aforementioned poets still try
And the heavens keep their secrets so close.
This rain, I did not ask
I do not plead or beg.
I'll suffer it all, like you and them
And like all the times before
Aftermath everlasting, inevitable
Nothing grows between then and now
Sometimes try, but everything is cleansed
Then try again tomorrow, failing and trying again.
This rain, I did not see
I don't pretend to understand

The songs unforgotten, poet never silenced
Experience lends no wisdom to hopeful fools
We'll write it and sing it, praise it and preach it
But still tomorrow it rains.

I saw a magic bag for making toasties in a toaster, and thought of this:
I don't want my orange bread, it's in my sausage fried egg red.It peas and teas and beans away but isn't bacon, toast or whey.It raisin carrot, apple, dish, and cannot pig or cow or fish.It stir fry porks and Chinese noodle, not a pear of teacup strudel.In a pepper sweetcorn omelette style, it won't saliva, blood or bile.If acid pus is coconut us, does marrow brew mean oyster you?
