When does "compromise" become "sacrifice" ?
Have you found it easy to give up something when you form a relationship?
Have you ever asked or been asked to give up certain friends or hobbies that a partner felt was taking way too much of your time?
Have you ever been dealt an ultimatum, or given one out yourself when something has proved to be a problem or come between you and your significant other?
How willing are you to give something up just to give a relationship the best chance for success?

WOW. I don't know where to start. The possibilities are mind boggling. Fortunately for us this is not an issue. OMG, I haven't had enough coffee for this deep intense thought. I'll come back to this one.

compromise becomes sacrifice, when you give up so much that you start to lose your friends, hobbies, careers, happiness or your Identity. Then it is time to walk, even if you have to move in with a friend, or relatives for a while, if children are involved it makes it hard, almost impossible, but recovery is of utmost importance even if you have to seek counselling and a group sponsored housing placement for a while.

I think it is sacrifice when instead of making the couple stronger the issue isolates, degrades, stomps on the self esteem, or hurts the other half emotionally.
