The Secret is Out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Last night,my best friend (female), myself and our spouses were at an outdoor concert (BIG SHOT), when out of the blue, she started to show sighs of a stutter. I thought maybe I had poured her one too many Jamaica Rum and Cokes (4), but she blurted out that she had this problem since she first learned to speak. She said extreme concentration was her weapon against stuttering. I asked her if she had anymore revelations to share with me such as, was she born a man or something???
I have known this gorgeous creature for 13 years and she never once showed any signs that she had this problem. I have no secrets that can't be seen by simply looking at me. Hell, I'd love to have a secret or two that I could keep for 50 or so years!!!!!
I hope she feels better telling me her secret. I could care less. Hey, so what??? She's not perfect!!! Have you truly looked in a mirror lately????? I'm afraid to.....lol
I feel blessed to know someone that gorgeous.

She sounds like a great person, it's a shame she has to use "extreme concentration" for her stuttering, instead of the world just being a little more patient and tolerant with others.
Moon or BCB would know this....what's the name of the county music doode, that only stuttered when he talked, but didn't when he sang?

Not Jerry Lewis, but the other one, was with Burt Reynolds in the Smoky and the Bandit movies....ooooooo...I can't remember...I'm gonna have ta gooogle it, lol!

My friend is a lawyer. She speaks in open court one or twice a week. Extreme concentration????? I'd say she has amazing concentration!!!! We've vacationed together at least 12-15 times, had dinner with her a million times, laughed together, and to find out that way??? The subject never came up before then. Hell, she has told me stuff her husband of 30+ years doesn't know.
Hey, whatever. She's one great broad! I'll think I'll keep her as my bestest pal anyway.......lol

One of my brothers has a very bad stammer, but when he sinds it goes completely. Again, he has to use extreme consentration to try and over come it when talking.

Yes!! Mel Tillis! That's the guy I was thinking off.
At first no one knew of his stuttering, I think his PR people tried to keep it a secret, but somewhere along the way, someone decided to hell with it, and let us all know him just the way he is...which had to be some comfort to allot of people with a stammering problem.

My hubby stuttered when he was a kid..... so did his dad and his uncle.... It comes back during certain situations, just not as extreme. My two oldest boys stutter... the oldest is in speach therapy and the other will be next year. Extreme concentration does help... it helps my oldest boy to think about what he's going to say in his head before he says it. Doesn't miss a beat when he does it that way. And it's definitely nothing to be ashamed of. It's part of who you are!

Yea I kinda remember that I had a little stutter when I was grade school, but that was so long ago. Now my biggest problem is remembering what happened 2 minutes ago, extreme concentration doesn't help. I think it's the old timers disease or some thing.
