A thread for the severely over caffeinated....
Just for the mindless rantings and babblings of those who's drug of choice for abuse is caffeine...and since I just hit the bottom of my second pot this morning...I'll get things started...
Lately, every morning I've been trying to solve a strange mystery....I've been perplexed as to why, every morning for the past couple of weeks, I've been waking up with a very tall, 1950's style beehive hair do?
Alien night time abductions? A mystical little fairy with a rat tail teasing comb for a wand?
Last night, I got the answer, it seems that a sweet little female cat I have, has taken to sneaking in my room at night, jumping up on my pillow and doing that cat thing, ya know, with the front paws.... puddy puddy purr purr puddy puddy for hours at night in my hair. So now, every morning I wake up and look like I'm ready to audition for the local theater troupes production of "Grease" ...
Any one else up for some incoherent ramblings and meanderings of the mind and thought?

Re: A thread for the severely over caffeinated....
One time when I was sleeping, I can remember trying to roll over and couldn't. Only to become fully awake and find that my cat was sleeping across my legs. Another time, I had wanted to stretch out, but couldn't, so thinking it was probably the dog at the end of the bed, I gave a good quick push with my feet, only to hear a thump on the floor, and one of my kids starting to cry.

We both are in our house. Ma is the food lady, in the mornings they get their soft food, but I let them out in the morning so they check out the grass, just make sure it hasn't gone anywhere, ya know.

Male Lev is allergic to them (not quite as bad now)
Our indoor cat is mine, but it never fails when she is coming over to me she has to take a nice slow casual walk across him (sometimes pausing) before ending up in my lap.
As if to say "HAHA I know you dont care for me....but i am here to stay"

It's a good thing that the cat is just playing with your hair. You know how cats like to mark their territory.

Re: A thread for the severely over caffeinated....
Has anyone ever had the unfortunate experience of a cat mistaking "morning wood" for a scatching post or mistaking the "morning sheet tent" for a game of "if it moves, pounce on it"?
Just wondering.....

Re: A thread for the severely over caffeinated....
My SO has!!!! I thought it was too damn funny when one of our cats was a kitten and he woke up with the "morning wood" and of course it twitched because he had to pee, and her and her little claws attacked the hell out of him. I still think it's funny but, the cats aren't allowed in our room anymore because of that.

The second one. Not only that, but once a cat licked the tip. Felt strange.

Re: A thread for the severely over caffeinated....
we don't have cats, I am allergic, but we do have a dog. When we had our waterbed (which I severely miss ) he would wait till Warren was gone for the day and jump up and sleep on it. He does it on the couch, too, but one look from Warren and he slinks off out of sight....guess who's the Alpha in our house, lol?

Re: A thread for the severely over caffeinated....
cats aren't entirely bad. I just dont like the claws, the shedding, smell of kitty litter, etc.
Tried helping out a friend awhile back with taking their cat for awhile and that wasn't gonna last for long. Landlord found out about it and therefore had to get rid of it other than wanting to myself already. Turned into a big mess with one of my friends and her sister.
It's official. I'm a dog person. Love 'em. Miss them... as one passed away 4 years ago and the other 2 years ago.
