Social restraints
I know we all must love sitting down to bask in the warm glow of our computer monitors, and logging into the one place we know where we can completely let go and be who we really are.
Here, we say it all,show it all, and make our lives and personal thoughts an open book, but how much do we share with our "real world" friends and co-workers? How much do they know about the side of you that we know?

Few of my co-workers and friends know of my raunchy side. There is one woman that I had worked with that knows but she is devoted to her husband. She will talk with me about things but that is the extent of it. My family of course is very unaware of this side of me.
I find that it is a good release for me to expose myself to the people on WN. I feel so comfortable letting you all know about my desires and what I like and sharing my songs.
I love the people on here.

If we could do this with our co-workers and friends, we probably would not be here. Although probably most of our coworkers and friends feel the same way we do about sexual desire and open sexual expression, I think they are too plastisized/hippocritical to tell the truth.

My friends know that I and hubby are very sexual - however, they do not know the full extent of what we want or that we would like to be involved with others.

As I've already stated in a different thread, I wouldn't even hesitate to introduce the friends I've made here at Web Naughty to my friends & family I see from day to day. I would not however, even hint that I was a member of a site such as this. My parents, as well as the rest of my family are very religous, & I'm sure the photos as well as many of the forum post, are something my family would take a very dim view of. Isn't it funny that even when we're in our 40's-50's our parents can still make us feel guilty??

Well since I have such a good start at freaking you out, I may as well go on to the next level. When I was 5 yrs. old I was given my first bible by my sunday school teacher, for having gone to sunday school fo 5 years without ever missing aunday, ( as if I had a choice at the time). I started going to a 2 week Bible Camp when I was 8yrs. old, & by the the time I was 15 I was a counsoler at this same camp. And yes I still attend church, I figure I have 6 days to do what I want, surely I can give him 1 hour on 1 day. Besides you never leave church feeling bad!

None of our families or co-workers know anything about this, or about Ma's and I sexual preferences or experiences. Hell, very few people even know Ma pierced her nipples, except our kids, and a couple of very close friends.

NRG - actually I was speaking of parents making us feel guilty. However, our church upbringing sounds very similar - except I rebelled and quit going. Still believe, but don't attend services.

I hear ya CK. The same thing in my case. Being my grandfather was a Baptist Minister.

My teenage daughter knows I chat on line, not the specific site, but I haven't discussed it with my friends. That is a good question why.... I know for a fact that at least one of my friends would be totally fine with it, maybe it is just that I am enjoying this new side of my life and blending the two different areas would take away from that ---- "getting away from it all" feeling I have when I am here
