Wal- Mart
i finially realized that
Wal-Marts original colors are blue and gray.
Colors of the north and south during the civil war.
The obvious escaped too long on this one.

Sooooh are you saying they are walking both sides of the fence now, cus I think Walmart was originaly dominant in the south, along with their southern employee work practices, long hours, slim benifits, and low pay.

Re: Wal- Mart
I hadn't given any thought to that, but maybe it's because Wal-Mart's corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas is a just minutes from the Pea Ridge, Arkansas Civil War battlefield. Right next to the battlefield is an airstrip owned by Wal-Mart and hangars full of corporate jets. It's probably just a coincidence those colors were used. Actually, one of the first Wal-Marts outside of Bentonville went into the town I lived in and, as is always the case, the downtown square gradually closed up and has been mostly vacant buildings for years.

Speaking of ebay,,,I just made a purchase from ebay yesterday for the first time it took a while for me to figure out how the bidding went down, and also how to get to use my own personal credit card instead of the PayPal credit card that they push on you to sign up and register for.

K-mart, target and others have sued Wal-mart for ufair competition. The courts ruled in Wal-Marts favor because they simply got better deals from supliers. Wal-Mart does gets everything on consignment from its suppliers. There for it is not paid for until they sell it.
Personally I do not like how they treat their employees aand especialy the drivers at their distribution facilities. I also have to admit that the Super center they built here is nice, clean and has much upgraded tings for sale.
So, what do you do?? A few month ago i needed shoes. The only place I found what i wanted was Wal-Mart.

Re: Wal- Mart
Wal-Mart will tell the suppliers what they will pay for the product they will sell. If Wal-Mart doesn't sell it, and reduced the price, they also reduce the price to the supplier. They also treat their employees like shit. They will give a schedule for work hours, and then it's your responsibility to check it every day, even if it's your day off, as they will change the schedule, but not let you know, unless you call in. They also make most of their employees work only part time hours, that's so they don't have to pay out benefits. They have been sued for locking their employees inside the buildings, so they could not get out for any reason, even emergencies. I owned a business and it really sucks that I could never even come close to keeping my product at a price that competitive with Wal-Mart. Hell, they were selling the product for the same price that I had to pay for it. To top if off, a group of employees at one of the stores had gotten a Union in, guess what, Wal-Mart closed the store and went some were else.
